So a number of players have reported crashes on starting Battle Map Studio. I've been monitoring this closely and trying to understand the cause. Looking at the crash logs, it appears the crashes are coming after attempting to load a DLL that interacts with the Tilt Five AR system. Since this Playtest version is PC/Mac only, the Tilt Five DLL need not even be in the build. So I removed it.
Hopefully those that are crashing on startup are able to access Battle Map Studio, but if not please let me know. I have talked with the folks at Tilt Five about the crash and they are looking into the problem as well.
It's possible that this bug is either a Unity or machine-specific problem as well. As always, make sure you have up to date OS and drivers. =)
Other changes:
- Added a few simple buttons to the paint panel to automatically randomize styles, rotations, and scale. Rotation and scale ranges can still be changed in the paint options window.
- Fixed a bug where the plant instantiation system would attempt to create invalid plant styles (those that either do not exist yet or are deprecated).
- Fixed several null reference bugs in edge-case scenarios.
