Update notes via Steam Community
TLDR: I bit off more than I could chew in the normal "one update per week" timeframe AND we're having a heat wave to where I can't really work accept between midnight and 6am and I have to do normal work to make the monies, so I can't just stay up all night. So I'm just pushing what IS done for the summer sale and I wanted to let everyone know that this is still a very much alive project and it gets worked on (barring climate change issues like the sun trying to murder WA state) every day.

I will reiterate YES I KNOW THE INVENTORY IS STILL BROKEN... but three's nothing to do with it right now anyway so, just enjoy the characters while I keep plugging away.

There is so much the changed. That characters changed, the clothing changed, some of the systems changed, the inventory changed.

I started this patch with the idea "fix the character gen" and "fix the inventory."

Holy crap my people, it was way more than I bargained for.

It turns out, there's no way to save "objects." They are dynamic references to a bunch of other things and just.... don't work. So I had to completely rebuild the inventory system and turn it into a bunch of integer, string, etc basic type variable tables be able to save it and work with it.

That also meant I had to completely rebuild the entire pickup/interact system, and drag drop, and item dropping, and ALLLLL OFFFFF IIIIITTTTTT.

It's still very broken, but the major work has been done to create a much more scalable system... and one that can actually be saved too!

Then the character customization. I had to go back, recreate the models so I could build morphs on top on the models that didn't exist the way I wanted them to. Originally I was handling this via animating bones to get certain modifications, but it was keeping me from being able to layer any physics on top of those and such.

In any case, the models have been rebuild, the entire customization system has been rebuilt, the clothing has been rebuilt, the hair has been rebuilt, it's alllllll been rebuilt.

The base models are the same visually, but have had a lot of "behind the scenes" work done to rebuild them in a way that allows them to be properly customized in just about every way.

Not all of the customizations are currently implemented, but the system is in place to make it scalable and savable.

I also fixed a bunch of things with the controls and sprinting and FPV/TPV and little bugs like that, but compared to everything else that got worked on, those are almost inconsequential and because everything I was doing introduced a massive slew of other bugs that are overlapping, I just stopped keeping track of bug fixes and I'm calling this a rebuild and bumping it to 0.0.1.0.

Thank you!
