Update #6 is now live!

PVP Improvements:
• PvP Lobby (beta): You can now create public or private PvP lobbies! In the lobby you can wait for other players and create games directly from there (we added the practice range and a few assets from the editor to kill time while you wait :P). When you end a game you can go back to the lobby and keep the group together. We plan to extend this to Co-Op soon but we wanted to do a small test with PvP first. Please let us know what you think! 😊
• New PvP Messaging system: We added a new messaging system that will allow you to ping other players for PvP games. If you set yourself as “Available for PvP games” your name will show up in the available players list whenever you are online. Other players can then invite you to their games and you will receive a notification in the game. Please note that if you accept the invitation you will have to manually join the game (for now).
• PvP single player: Other players can now join pvp games if the game already started and there’s just one person in the game. This means you can just create a PVP game, invite someone, and play while you wait for them to join.
• Reduced PvP max Resources to 5000 to limit the duration of games.

Improvements and changes:
• Started improving the graphics of Refinery on Quest and PC. This is part of an on-going initiative and will focus on improving the graphics on all maps.
• Added spawn cooldown of 10s to teleport points so they can’t be spammed in PvP games.
• Auto-reload won’t work with the trigger pressed. This should limit the constant autoreload that was happening when you lowered the weapon below your waist.
• Added an end user license agreement panel so players can read and accept it before they play the game.
• Added a hint to the grenade description explaining that you can activate it by just pressing trigger for 1s.

• Fixed laser decals gradually getting distorted on heavily scaled objects.
• Fixed the pancake(2D) and VR version not seeign each other’s weapons.
• Fixed main menu UI alignment issues.
• Fixed if the master quits the game while loading a map, the other players will get stuck in the loading screen forever. Now the loading screen disappears and all players return to the level.

Community maps:
• We made several changes to the map rating system:
o Players can now only rate public maps.
o Players can now only rate a map if they win.
o The map rating will only show up if the map has 10 or more ratings
• Fixed “ALL” section only showing 16 maps.
• Fixed leadeboard scores not saving on community maps.
• Added an “add to favorites” button to the rating screen when you win the level.

Map Editor:
• Fixed multiple drop ship points not saving.
• Fixed spawn point tags not working.
• Added two new spawn point tags: onlyscopios and onlydragons. Remember that to make sure scorpios or dragons always spawn in that particular spawn point you also need to set the other spawn points as “nobosses”.
• Trigger+grip to clone an object is now enabled by default.
• Added navmesh visualization (after you bake the world). The blue area over the map will show you where players and enemies can walk, and will make it much easier to spot situations where for example due to large scaling of objects the collisions still allow enemies to go through walls or rocks. You can enable this setting in the settings menu of the map editor.
• Added a new item to modify the navmesh “ Non walkable “ In the inventory. The “non walkable” modifier volume will make a hole in the navmesh to make sure no enemies can walk on that area.
• Added a platform visualization to the editor. If you enable this option in the settings menu you will see a mini replica of the editor table so you know where you need to leave space
• Increased the navmesh vertical limit, i.e. you can make higher maps now.
• Added the possibility to limit the max number of players in community maps.

Editor Assets:
• Added the transparent bridge platform from Nebula as a common asset.
• Improved the collision of snow biome rocks.

What´s next?

With this update we are also going to do a small experiment and publish DEMO of the game on Sidequest and Steam! The demo will be available from tomorrow until May 31st and will have the tutorial, the practice range, the first level (available to play alone or in co-op), 2 official pvp maps and the pvp lobby.

Additionally, we have been working hard on Update 7 and this one will be big! 😊 U7 will come with the last level of the frozen planet, the first one of the third planet, a new game mode (Domination), plus some other surprises... 😝. All the assets of the new planet and the domination game mode will also be available on the editor in U7.
