Admiral! Two years have passed since the Strategic Mind series began with an Early Access for the Strategic Mind: The Pacific on 30 April 2019. It has been a magnificent two years full of events and new releases. We would like to celebrate the Strategic Mind second anniversary - and what better way to celebrate there is, other than deliver a new update? 😉
The majority of the changes were based on the feedback and reports of the community - so we could not have done it without you. We will keep improving the series and with your help, we can deliver much better results and turn the series into every wargamer’s dream. We will keep looking for your feedback and suggestions and continue to develop the series.
So, here we are with all the hottest fixes and features from the upcoming Strategic Mind: Fight for Freedom.
Update 3.08
New content:

Fully reworked naval combat tutorial - now it consists of 3 parts.

Overhauled 5-parts of the land operations tutorial, but the content is the same.

All tutorial operations now work much better. It was hard to click certain hexes/units in tutorials before, and now these issues were fixed.
Game mechanic changes:
- Overwatch fire now does take into account Line of sight. (Before it was only Spotting and Gun range). So, now the anti-tank guns can no longer Overwatch you “through” the building, city or forest, etc. They can only Overwatch you where they would have been able to fire normally.
Quality of life improvements:

Added special “+” Overstrength indicator showing when each unit is eligible for an Overstrength.

The terrain info screen now has two additional pieces of information: Line of Fire (Yes/No) and Combat penalty (Yes/No).

Added a “New hero available” notification when you get a new hero. You will see a flying label (similar to the “Level up available” one).

Added hint to unit price when purchasing units with all the discount information so now you can see more clearly how different global bonuses, awards, and other things affect the final unit price.
Changes:

Infantry with Heavy equipment and no ground transport now cannot be deployed. (As it cannot move) The corresponding message box with an explanation is added.

Changed prices for Anti-aircraft guns equipment: Small searchlight now costs 10 Prestige, Medium searchlight - 20, Heavy searchlight - 30, Radar - 50.

Fixed issue when boarding of the ground transport would not be displayed in a hex if there is enemy infrastructure.

Now, when the unit has no series, the “Series: none” is displayed.

Moved the “Pause after every line” option was moved from Game Settings to Sound Settings.
Fixes:

Fixed the replenishment of equipment charges not working properly in some cases. Now you always get the charges replenished in the Service zone if you are eligible (Have the supply).

Fixed exploit with Undo button: you can no longer use Undo after changing the unit’s equipment.

Fixed exploit with Undo button: you can no longer gain extra movement by Using Undo after Close combat movement.

Fixed crash with Undo button during landing or take off - now it is unavailable after these actions.

Fixed a rare issue that would lead to incorrect Line of Fire calculation in some cases.

Fixed an annoying sound that often happened during the loading screens.
Misc:
- Corrected the Close quarters flying label “close defense” -> “close quarters” in all languages.
