Hey everyone!

Today we're bringing you some exciting updates to the Level Editor, as well as share our plans for the rest of the year! Let's get started.

Level Editor Updates

In 2020 we’ve had some amazing maps created by our community in the Level Editor. 2021 is the year when we start transforming it into something more - Game Mode Editor. We’ll start relatively small - you’ll be able to choose between pre-made rules presets. In this update, you already have a game mode selector with all the brawls available.

Next step - you’ll be able to create your own rules from scratch, which means the possibility will be endless. And, of course, we’ll continue working on the Level Editor, giving more tools to our creators.

New Costumes

Of course, this wouldn't be a Secret Neighbor update without some new costumes! Oh, and we hope you're enjoying the new coupon system - let us know in the comments how you'd want to see it evolve.

The 2021 Roadmap

We've already changed the game quite a bit this year - we've added a lot of quality of life improvements, implemented daily quests, added brawl mode rotation - but there's a lot more to come! Check out the roadmap video:

Changes and fixes:

  • New customizations
  • Fixed the Butcher's Hook end-game issue (no more glitches in the next sessions!)
  • Fixed the Inventor’s Craft Wheel vs. Transform into the Neighbor issue
  • Improved networking
  • Fixed some of the legacy maps visuals
  • FIxed legacy maps collision mechanics

Level Editor

  • Game mode selector for your custom maps (choose any brawl you want!)
  • New mode-related items
  • New wall tiles (blocked door, bricked door)
  • New floor and base tiles (Beware of the Lava!)
  • New tile painting mechanics (hold 'Shift' to paint a single tile)
  • Deselect currently selected tile/object (click it once again!)
  • Switch between categories with mouse wheel
  • New tile positioning and targeting mechanics
  • Fixed a lot of item placing glitches (wires, rooftops, stairs, walls... well, lots of them)
  • Fixed wire nodes recursion crash
  • Fixed several backward compatibility issues with complicated legacy maps
