Hey everyone!

Thanks for participating in the beta testing so far, and thanks for all the invaluable feedback!

Below are the patch notes for v0.81.

Edit: This patch unfortunately resets save files! Please do the following if you'd like to convert your save file to make it compatible with this patch (you'll only have to do it once and for this patch only, future patches shouldn't reset saves anymore):

  1. Go to C: Users \ username \ AppData \ LocalLow \ Toblue Games \ Dungeons Of Voidria \
    (The AppData folder is hidden by default, google on how to access this folder)
  2. You should see a file named progressionData, and another named progressionData.sav
  3. Delete progressionData.sav
  4. Rename progressionData to progressionData.sav

v0.81 Patch notes

  • Added new mechanics: Volt, Fragile and Cast counter

  • Added 17 new skills

  • Added 10 new trinkets

  • Traps can now be "faulty", meaning they can sometimes not trigger when stepped on

  • Player's luck now affects how often traps are faulty

  • Spikes trap is more likely to be faulty when player is below 35% HP

  • Spikes trap now has a damage range, rather than fixed at 6 damage. Damage now scales with player health: more damage when at high health, less damage at low health

  • Gain-health trap's health gain also scales with player health: more health gain when at low health, vice versa

  • Lose-key trap is now very likely to be faulty when player has only 1 key

  • Lose-gold trap now scales with floor: less gold lost on earlier floors, more on later

  • Added 2 new beneficial traps: gain-gold trap and gain-key trap

  • Chance for beneficial traps spawning increased slightly

  • Improved SFX for the following:
    Gold pickup, item pickup, crate collide, crate break, burn trigger, reset skill, skill queue

  • Added SFX for the following:
    Key pickup, coin pouch pickup, loot drop

  • After a boss is defeated, stairs are disabled temporarily as loot spawns

  • Improved hover tooltip textboxes

  • Improved keyword clarity

  • Hidden enemies now have a unique sprite

  • Rebalanced blood shop prices

  • Fixed bug with EXP bar softlocking

  • Fixed crash when interacting with Cracked Orb

  • Fixed some issues with audio popping

  • Hopefully fixed lag spike on first battle trigger

  • Fixed skill room soundscape pitch fluctuations

  • Randomising skills should no longer create duplicate skills

  • Fixed bug with boss loot drops, life potions should now be correctly added in loot pool

  • Fixed bug with secret rooms and hidden items not being revealed by slates

  • Hopefully fixed bug with music not fading back in after exiting a secret room

  • Fixed run data not resetting when returning to lobby

Known and unresolved bugs:
"Secret rooms are not fading to visible and is obscured by black mask"
I've confirmed that this is a bug but I was unable to reliably reproduce it. I believe this bug only happens when the secret room is revealed by default (which is the root problem, they should never be revealed by default, but this seems super rare). I have added a temporary fix - secret rooms now should never be obscured.
