- New Features
- Practice Board
- A new option has been added to the quick play menu called the practice board. This allows the player to have more freedom in placing stones on the board to practice. There are several controls which are described below.
- Alternate Stones - Alternate the stone color after each move is played, similar to a normal match.
- Swap Color - Swap to the next stone color in alternate stone mode.
- Place Black - Place only black stones on the board. Placing a stone over an existing stone of the same color will delete it, and placing a stone over a stone of a different color will delete the original stone and place the new stone. Using the right click mouse button allows the player to place a stone of the opposite color, in this case white.
- Place White - Place only white stones on the board. The same delete and right click functionality above applies.
- Clear Board - Reset and clear all stones from the board.
- Alternate Stones - Alternate the stone color after each move is played, similar to a normal match.
- A new option has been added to the quick play menu called the practice board. This allows the player to have more freedom in placing stones on the board to practice. There are several controls which are described below.
- Reverse Komi
- Komi is the number of starting points that white receives in order to offset the advantage that black gets by playing first. Typically, this is a value between 5.5-7.5, with the .5 ensuring that a tied match does not occur. Reverse komi allows black to instead receive starting points, and is used to offset a difference in skill level between players.
- Quick play matches now support the ability to set a negative komi value which will give the points to black.
- The campaign mode now supports an option to convert handicap stones into reverse komi. This option is available in the campaign settings menu which can be accessed from the top right of the campaign map screen. In this new mode, instead of starting a match with handicap stones, the player will instead start with an additional 6 points for each handicap stone, starting by offsetting white's initial 6.5 komi points.

- Updates
- Custom variations created in review mode of saved matches accessed through the quick play menu are now able to be saved using the save file button at the top right while reviewing. Saving custom variations of campaign matches will come in a future update.
- The komi field for quick match has been converted from a slider to a stepper control to more easily input komi and reverse komi values.
- While resuming play or reviewing a saved match accessed through the quick play menu, the default file name will be set to the saved match file name, allowing you to easily overwrite the file, or change the name to create a new file.
- A new warning message will display when returning to the main menu after completing a quick play match, letting the user know they have an unsaved match record which can be saved for later review.
- Matches in the active match list of online profiles are now ordered to show the matches that have the least available time first. As before, if viewing your own profile, the list will first be sorted to show matches that are currently your turn, and then by least time remaining.
- The move tree view will now display nodes that have no move, such as a setup node in the practice board to place multiple black and white stones, as a stone that is both black and white.
- The move history list will now display all individual moves during tutorials instead of clearing the list when setup of multiple stones or removals is encountered.
- Audio for stones being added or removed will now be played for cases where there are only setup stones instead of a single move. These can occur during tutorials and the practice board.
- The star points on the board grid now have a minimum size which will make them more visible when using a low line thickness setting.
- Several new game records have been added to the list of matches that are randomly selected and automatically played through in the background of the main menu.
- The volume of the countdown warning which is played when time remaining is under 5 seconds has been reduced to more closely match other sound effects.
- Custom variations created in review mode of saved matches accessed through the quick play menu are now able to be saved using the save file button at the top right while reviewing. Saving custom variations of campaign matches will come in a future update.
