As already anticipated, we are releasing a new major update for IMPAVIDVM with a lot of new stuff.

NEW LEVEL 'FORTITVDO'
A brand new level has been added. -
SECOND CUTSCENE
We keep developing the plot and the second cutscene has been added to the game. -
ADDED CONTROLLER SUPPORT.
It is now possible to play IMPAVIDVM using a controller. -
SUB SURFACE SCATTERING
Rendering has been improved introducing sub surface scattering. Our characters gained a free skin treatment. -
NEW MECHANIC: FAST SWIMMING
It is now possible to swim fast for a small time before to get tired. This new mechanic is required in the new level, but available everywhere. -
NEW MECHANIC: MONKEY WALK
Continuing the work to make our hero a true sportsman (or woman)! Now they can execute monkey walk (which by the way is required in the new level). -
WIND SOUND IMPROVED
Fixed a few glitches in wind sound. -
SSAO IMPROVED
Removed an unpleasant visual artifact caused by SSAO in 4K. Also capped ssao buffer resolution to 2K because working with a bigger frame buffer is only more expensive and does not improve AO. -
ROPES IMPROVEMENT
Added a way to stabilize ropes attached to a constrain and reset the forces applied, so they behave always in the same way after realoading a checkpoint. -
BUG: GHOST PLATFORMS BUG FIXED
Fixed a bug causing some moving platforms to disappear. -
BUG: RESOLUTION CHANGE BUG FIXED
It is possible now to change resolution without destroying everything and crashing the game! -
BUG: STUCK PLAYER BUG FIXED
Fixed a bug causing the player to stop responding to inputs after failing a grab. -
BUG: ROLL ANIMATION BUG FIXED
It is no longer possible to roll right after reloading a checkpoint preventing the player to fall out of bounds in certain conditions. -
BUG: SHADOWS ARTIFACTS FIXED
Sun light frustum calculation has been improved and shadows at the edges of the field of view are now much better. -
BUG: DUST RENDERING ARTIFACTS FIXED
Dust does no longer receive shadows.
