■ **Hero “Durgeff Durkhan”**
- A new hero “Durgeff Durkhan” has been added.

■ **Fixed major bugs**
- Fixed the issue where players would sometimes be stuck in between terrains when flying in the Black Spirit mode as they start the game or get on a Jump Gate.
■ **Updated the Matching System**
- Fixed so that players below Fame level of 3 will not be matched with those with 3 or higher.
- Players below Fame level of 3 will be matched with AI party. In the new matching system, players with levels lower than 3 will be completely separated from those of 3 or higher.
- When a player with Fame level lower than 3 joins a battle, two AI parties will be matched with them, not three.
- As shown in the chart below, Fame level will go up as you achieve the required EXP point.

By slightly changing the matching system, we have made new players be separated from existing users until they get more experienced in Shadow Arena. Players who win the 1st place for more than 5 times in the new players’ room will be able to achieve Fame level 3 in just 5 rounds. Meanwhile, players who rank 2nd or below for a series of matches will stay in the room for up to 14 rounds.

Fixed the awkward loading motion.

Reduced the camera effect in which it zoomed in a hero when they loaded the matchlock.

Reduced the cooldown for matchlock from 85 sec to 75 sec.

Changed the auto-firing time after loading the matchlock as below:

Fixed the issue where, even if the player used “Taunt,” normal monsters that give buff effects were not affected by the skill.

- The altitude of players flying in the Black Spirit form (at the start of the game or when they get on a Jump Gate) has been lowered by 25%.
- Changed so that all heroes including the AI players will not be applied the Stiffness effect anymore. However, the effect will still be applied to some monsters.
[**Dev’s notes]**
We had to go through a long internal discussion regarding the Stiffness effect. The effect has long been applied in Shadow Arena, and it is definitely a factor that can impact the balance between classes. Completely removing it from the system was not an easy decision to make in any means. However, as we decided that the effect currently upsets most of the players in an overwhelming way, we removed it from the system only leaving the parts already existent in some heroes‘ skills. And following the update, we have also touched upon the balance between Heroes who are greatly affected by the Stiffness effect.
- The buff/debuff effects will now be emphasized in skill descriptions.
[**Dev’s notes]**
Visibility of buffs had been quite poor as the buff icon descriptions lacked unity and unnecessary buff icons had been displayed together. So, to enhance visibility, we made some improvements such as unifying the buff icons and clarifying tooltip descriptions.

- The amount of Stamina consumed has been reduced by 15%.
| **Clairvoyance (Q**)
- Fixed the issue where she would not couterattack when using the skill.
- Fixed the issue where her HP would be recovered if she successfully made an attack by pressing LMB or re-entering Q.

As all heroes’ Stiffness effect has been partially removed, we could assume that Yeonhwa, who had the fastest basic attack speed, would be placed a serious toll on her competitiveness. Therefore, we decided to bring back her advantage in the fast movement speed, which had been nerfed before.

Fixed the issue where the message “Please try again later.” appeared when stopping in the middle of using a skill while moving.

- Added a part about damage increase in the skill description, which is applied when using the skill in stealth mode.

- The stiffness effect applied upon a successful additional upward strike has been changed to knockdown.
However, the duration of the Knockdown has been changed to 0.5 sec.
- He can now make faster combos from basic attack into the next attack.
- The camera effects displayed when basic attacks and skills succeed have been added or improved.

- The amount of Stamina consumed has been reduced by 5.

For Badal the Golden, we increased the speed of his basic attacks so that he can defeat monsters better and make combo attacks more smoothly. Furthermore, we decreased the amount of Stamina consumed by Asura Tread to generally improve its use in battles.

As players reach the later parts of the game and start filling the last slots of their inventory/item storage, they tend to pick Axe of Carnage or Great Warrior’s Hammer, which are the offensive items that satiate both AP and DP. Therefore, we added 2 defensive items that increase both AP and DP. Plus, while Great Warrior’s Hammer is a highly efficient item as it has all DP, movement speed, and AP effects, we have adjusted down its AP-increase buff.

- Reduced the damage of Steppe Stoneback Crabs by 25%.
| **Dark Fog**
- The closing-in phase of the Dark Fog has been changed as follows:
(Before) Closes in 11-12 minutes after the game starts. The last phase begins at the 12-minute mark for 3 minutes.
→ (Now) Closes in 10-11 minutes after the game starts. The last phase begins at the 11-minute mark for 1 minute.
| **Light of Ascension**
- The Light of Ascension will now appear 12 minutes after the game starts, not 13 minutes.
[**D**ev’s nots]
After the Shadow Lord and the Ancient Relic appear 9 minutes into the game, no other objectives appeared for the next 4 minutes. This was to provide a free-fight environment and some last minute to reorganize before the Light of Ascension appeared, since players focus on grinding and fighting against each other until around the 9-minute mark from the very beginning of the match. However, it turned out that it did not take much time for teams to reorganize, and the remaining battlefield was too wide for players to confront each other until the Light of Ascension appeared 3 minutes later. As this significantly dropped tension, we decided to quickly close in the Dark Fog from 10 minutes into the game, hoping for a more exciting and spirited match in the shrunken battlefield. Plus, the Light of Ascension will now appear 1 minute faster, which we hope will lead players to move onto the fight over the Light of Ascension without getting loose in between.
