Expansion Pack

The base game will continue to be free to play. A premium content expansion ("Expansion Pack 1") has been introduced and available for purchase on Steam now. It is priced US$4.99 (and converted to your local currency by Steam, conversion might vary). The expansion pack contains exclusive buildings, policies, maps and some cosmetic perks. It's a one-time purchase.

Also, if you purchase the expansion pack, you will also be entitled to receive premium content for at least three months: i.e. all premium content updates from Mar. 29 till Jun. 29 will be included in the expansion pack as well. So no need to worry about having to pay for another expansion pack within a month or something like that.

On mobile, if you have purchased expansion pack, you will be able to turn off the optional rewarded ad (they are optional in the first place but you can completely turn them off. If you turn them off, they won't show up and you won't get the rewards)

If you have purchased the expansion pack, you will always be able to import data from free to play version. But you will be able to export the data to the free to play version (because of lack of content, it won't work)

Data Migration

If you have participated in alpha, your old save will not be compatible with beta. Here's how your data will be migrated to beta:

  • Your current market cap will be converted to Swiss money (i.e. prestige)
  • Your unspent Swiss money will be carried forward
  • You will get 50% extra Swiss money to compensate for your spent Swiss money since the upgrades will not carry forward

The amount of Swiss money carried forward will be capped at 200. This is because a leaderboard will be introduced based on all Swiss money earned and this will give everyone more or less an "equal" start.

You can still import your old save from alpha (from Web/iOS/Android) version, but you won't be able to continue the map. Instead, you save will be migrated to beta with the same rules above - you don't have to export and backup but if you want to be extra careful, feel free to do it.

Roadmap

There are 64 resources, 81 factories, 20 policies and 10 maps available in beta. Several new buildings are introduced: logging camp, lumber mill, paper mill, guitar factory, drum factory, recording studio, opera house, book publisher, bitcoin farm, li-ion battery factory, coal gasification plant, semiconductor fab. Lots of productions will require them. All power plants (renewable/fossil fuel) will generate a modest amount of science when running. Schools/Universities are still there and will require different input and generate more. Several new Swiss money upgrades have been added.

  • Trading resources between players
  • Research point and policy point boosts: spend research points and policy points for some unique short-term boosts (like doubling the output of iron mine for 5 mins)
  • Production combo: a factory can boost the production of certain factories but might slow down others
  • Power bank building: a building that allows you to bank extra power
  • Pay for upgrades with resources
  • Resource exploration: you can discover a resource on an empty tile
  • News events: you will receive news events that might affect your production in positive/negative way

The planned content updates are subject to change - new stuff will be added and their priority will change. I am always open to feedback and feature suggestions.
