Our largest ever update is now live with a whole host new content and mechanics. The full changelist is below:
[BALANCE]
- Increased the amount of character points you get at levels 1 - 5
- Increased base movement speed to 2.5m/s (previously 2m/s)
- Greatly reduced passive mana regen
- Greatly increased mob's kiting distance
- Mobs now only regain health after being out of combat for more than 10 seconds
- Added a global 10 second spell cooldown
- Stamina now increases your HP by +5 for each point (down from +15)
- Removed the 1/5 damage limit*
[UI]
- Added zone based ambient lighting
- Added 6 new achievements (What does INT do? // Playing With Fire // Stay Frosty // Strong Foundations // DEDICATION // Enchanted)
- Added directional audio
- Added tooltip information for Walls, Floors and Furniture
- Updated the tutorial screens, text is now centered and is clearer
- You can now click and drag to assign items to the hotbar
- Fixed the ability to enchant a null mount field
- Fixed character hub health meter levels when using enchanted armour with stamina buffs.
- Fixed an issue that caused rubberbanding when moving too fast
- Fixed an issue that caused movement to glitch after death
- Fixed an issue that prevented "The Bigger They Are" achievement from being unlockable
- Removed pressing numbers to assign items to hotbar
[CONTENT - NEW]
- Raised the Level cap to 30
- New zone: Elodine's Gift
- New raid: Elodine's Cult (opens on April 1st!)
- Added INT-based ranged weapons (staffs for now, bows coming later!)
- Added 3 new weapons: Wizard's Walking Staff, Bandit's Staff & Guardian's Staff
- Items can now have associated attributes with increase specific stats separately from enchantments
- Added a "Forging" mechanic: you can now smelt ores at furnaces into bars for crafting
[CONTENT - CHANGES]
- Metal Rock & Exotic Rock now drop Metal Ore and Exotic Material Ore respectively instead of smelted bars
- Mages Robe now grants +10 INT
- Bandit's Cloak now grants +10 STR
[ENCHANTMENT]
- You must now be Level 30 to enchant an item
- You can now enchant items lower than the current max echantment losing only the additional levels (IE, to enchant a +25 to +30 you lose 5 levels rather than all 29)
- You can now select how much of a stat you want to apply to an item (from +25 to +30)
[WORLD EFFECTS]
- Added a new world effect: Critters
- Added critters Chickens, Bugs, Mystics and Shades.
- Added a new world effect: Weather
- Added rain and clear skies
- Added a new world effect: Positional Ambient Audio
- Added positional ambient audio for water, trees, anvils, lava and campfires
[MOBS]
- Added SFX for Phoenix & Fire Phoenix
- Reduced the amount of XP given by Phoenix & Corrupted Steed
[SERVER]
- Added support for enemies that take up multiple tiles
- Added support for variable enchantment values
- Fixed an issue that prevented quests and NPC conversation states from clearing when prestiging
- Fixed an issue that allowed you to set your character stats negative (feedback: ThePentinentOne)
- Fixed an issue that caused STR enchantments to not apply correctly
[NOTES]
- You can't currently see when other players use ranged weapons
- Ambient lighting resets in the Foundation Forest portion of Elodine's Gift
- We've added "NOTE: Riverbridge will be accessible in a future update" to the description text for quest "The Apprentice Pt V"
- The raid opens on April 1st. This will mark a move away from our current armour tiers towards more varied and interesting armour sets. The elements for this loot change are in place in this update with a few items getting minor stat buffs.
