A few words from the founder.

A lot has happened during the journey of this ballgame. All from a failed Discord launch to splitting up the game into a shooter and a ballgame. Let me share some news about what has happened lately.

I havent played games for a decade, other than random mobile games. How can I create a game then, some might ask? True, also a reason for some of the errors and wrong decisions made during the development of Mad Ball. But I had a dream, a dream to create a bat-hitting sportsgame, due to my lifelong passion for tennis.

Mad Ball is really difficult at first. We made a body-swing mechanic using the side-ways movement of the mouse, which adds power to the hit, like real tennis, golf etc, and this mechanic needs to be understood in order to get some real hits going. Same goes for the aiming up and down. You can choose how you wish this to work, either look up, or flick the mouse up during the swing. Lots of settings to play with.

Rocket League has been mentioned quite a few times when players tried Mad Ball, however the feedback has mostly been dissapointment or frustration.

So to understand Rocket League better, I decided to give it a real go, played 300+ hours, watched hundreds of hours of streams, and what an amazing game. And indeed, the game is very different from Mad Ball. I see myself having a hard time shifting between these games. Maybe thats how a soccer player would feel playing hockey?

What struck me the most though, is how boost works. How it activates a completely new layer of gameplay, and actually the real gameplay seen by any player above gold. Brilliant game design.

Ok, so whats the plan now. Being a hobby-based project, it is only possible to continue the development if we manage to receive some sales through the 1 DLC we have. There is hope, we have 2 live servers, so no matter what happens, we can at least enjoy some nice one-timers.
