- Daily Cycle - With this update, we introduce the daily cycle. From now on, your day in Big Farm Story always starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 12:00 AM. In real-time, this means that an in-game day takes about 12 minutes. All in-game activities, like harvesting, crafting, gathering spots, water and animals, have been adjusted to the new cycle as well. The crops now take a certain number of in-game days to grow and need to be watered every day to make them sprout. As before, you just need to go to the well to water them. The well will be refilled after each in-game day and the water should last for all your plants. You can also upgrade your well to increase your water storage. As a last resort—if you ever run out—you can get some water at Amelia’s Store. The same procedure with the daily cycle applies to your animals. The animal products need a specific number of in-game days to be completed. You must also remember to pet your animal and give it a treat once per day—this is a crucial step. Dishes cooked in your kitchen and animal feed crafted in your mill will be finished instantly.
Some features, such as the daily goal timer, the alpaca delivery cool-down and the market refresh, have a different timer and do not depend on the daily cycle.
- Energy - Another big change is that your character now needs energy to experience all the adventures in the world of Big Farm Story. To keep track of all this, check out the energy bar on your screen: it shows you when to be careful with your energy and even when you need some sleep. Imagine you are starting a brand-new morning from your cozy bed in the farmhouse, full of energy. Now you are ready for the day. But be aware the actions and things you are doing cost energy. In order to restore energy, you just need to get some sleep.
- Sleeping - By the time you decide to go to bed and refill your energy, your exciting day ends. You’ll get an overview of the previous day, to see what you did and achieved. In order to wake up again and start the new day, you just have to close this overview. And always keep in mind, your bed is the best place to sleep; by resting there, your energy will be fully restored. Last but not least, be aware that the day must advance to the afternoon before you can go to bed. Because who wants to go to bed early, right?
We hope you enjoy the daily cycle as much as we do.
Take care!
