New tutorial missions

New scenario category

"Military" with following missions:
  • Trade Route
  • Invasion
  • Greenlands
  • Great Pyramid


Elite Houses

Elite Houses can be placed the same way as regular houses, however, they occupy 3x3 tiles instead of 2x2.

Elite Houses require all the resources that a maximum level of the regular house requires, plus extra ones and a desirability level. (right-click over the elite house to see what it requires currently)

Elite Houses will be required to complete missions in future campaigns.

Military

You can now build walls, gates, and towers, which require stone to be constructed. You can place swordsmen and archer's legions. A Recruiter building is required to train military units.

This is the base for the military aspect of the game, it will be worked on, improved and more features will be added in the future, including water transportation and combat.

New resources

A new production chain has been added.

Iron Mine -> Iron -> Weaponsmith -> Weapons

Weaponsmith is located under the "Military" category.

Desirability

Desirability has been added. Some buildings now decrease the desirability of the surrounding area while beautification buildings increase it.

Right now, only Elite Houses require desirability.

Disease risk


Remember to place apothecaries next to houses. Houses will be burned to prevent the disease from spreading. (If you are loading your old save files, it might be a good idea to immediately pause the game when the level loads and then place apothecaries everywhere)

New music

Seven new tracks have been adding to the game. The soundtrack is close to being one hour long right now. Music will change to battle themed when enemy armies invade.

Fixes and changes

  • The camera has been fixed and should act in the same way for everyone now. If you can't move the camera or it moves too fast, change camera speed in settings.
  • It is now possible to pause the game by pressing the spacebar.
  • The risk display has been slightly reworked.
  • The main menu will load much faster now when quitting from the map.
  • Fixed a bug where resources would not be delivered to pyramids.
  • Fixed some bugs that were causing crashes.
  • Fixed a bug where some processes were not terminating properly, causing steam to display the game as playing after quitting it.
