Our next big update to
Outpost Delta is now live! This update adds Russian language support, new difficulty settings, more features on the map, a new shield for Delta, an a number of smaller fixes and improvements based on the feedback you've provided. The full details are below:
New Features and Fixes in version 1.1.0
- Delta now has a front-facing shield that protects from small enemy fire.
- The pistol's auto-fire and manual-fire rates are now the same.
- Map improvements: new icons for checkpoints, ship parts, exit doors. Locked doors now show the key icon for the door as well as the color, and indicate if Delta has the key to unlock the door.
- Added new difficulty level options to make the game harder or easier.
- Fixed a few small bugs in level collision where Delta could get hung up.
- Added new options for retro-style aiming, limiting aim to 8 or 12 directions instead of free aiming.
- Fixed a bug with aiming that was causing the vertical component of the aim direction to be clamped incorrectly, making it difficulty to aim accurately with game controllers.
- Improved the tech for moving platforms. They should be much less likely to crush Delta.
- The history of recent communications is now scrollable so you can see more messages.
- Monul is now better at shooting Delta when Delta is on the ceiling above him. Homing missiles in general are a little better at tracking Delta.
- Added Russian language support.
- Fixed a bug causing vsync to not being enabled.
- The recharge console now does pickup-style animations when used so it is more apparent what affect it is having.
- Lasers are better about applying damage to prevent rapidly passing through them without taking damage.
- Fixed the camera cuts in Engineering to prevent re-triggering them when they're already in progress.
- Added a small box at the base of the right-side elevator in Engineering where Delta would frequently get stuck in a falling animation when not falling.
- Cinematic triggers save and load their state correctly.
- Engineering: power on/off states are not recorded in comms history, as they can be repeated.
- Checkpoints will no longer activate again when already in the process of saving.
- A few crouch transitions are fixed: crouch to jump now plays the jump animation, and crouching again while playing the transition from crouch to standing no longer gets stuck in the transition animation pose.
- Added a new setting to adjust the speed of comm dialogs, including an option to always pause for acknowledgement.
- The tutorial level now unlocks gravity when Joule says it is instead of after the full dialog series has finished.
