I hope you are all enjoying the festive season! It's time again for an update to bring a little bit of holiday cheer to Squillamorph! In addition to some festive cosmetics, the game has several needed improvements. Most notably, I have added one of the most requested features, a control mapper. This means you can finally remap controls for both keyboard and controller.
You can see all the changes in the changelog below, I hope you enjoy the festive update! Happy holidays! :D

Acknowledging Game Issues
In addition to the usual changelog, I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge and address some of the issues and bugs that players have been having with the game:- First and foremost the controls. Some confusion has been had with the keyboard controls due to an error on my part. I have now fixed this and additionally added a control mapper to the game.
I have also heard that some players are struggling with controller use. I would ask that if you do have issues with controller usage, could you please make a post in the discussion forum so I can fix it. :)
- Secondly, the performance issues. I am aware that the game has numerous performance issues, and bugs that result from this. I am doing my best to optimize the game to fix these issues, but this will take time.
I am also aware of some players experiencing consistent crashes. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to reproduce these crashes, but I am doing my best to pinpoint the cause and fix it. (I am hopeful that this update will fix the crashes but no guarantees there.)
- Lastly, I would like to address the current quantity of game content. Please bare in mind that this is an Early Access game and content will increase over time. Nonetheless, I have several reasons for the lack of content:
- Most of the work I am currently doing on the game is background work like optimisation, which does not add more content to the game.
- In my opinion, there is no point in adding more content to a game that players are unable to reliably play/enjoy. I would rather take the quality over quantity stance, until the state of the existing content is more stable and enjoyable.
- I do not have time to work on the game full time. For the past few months, I have only had the time to work on it at the weekends. I am no happier about it than any of you are but that is the way it is.
- Most of the work I am currently doing on the game is background work like optimisation, which does not add more content to the game.
I apologise for these issues but I am doing my best to improve the game. If you ever have an issue with the game, please let me know as it really helps me to improve the game! I would like to thank those who have given me feedback and those who have reviewed the game. I am very appreciative of every review and piece of feedback. Thank you! :D
