We’re incredibly excited to show off the work, that we have been doing for the past few months, please enjoy this long list of what is now at your hands.
Update 0.1 - Patch Notes
Animations Overhaul
All first person animations have, received a entire new look with the new implementation of "ALS" Advanced Locomotion System players can now see there full body within FP. Also with full foot and leg tracking for that extra touch of realism. Also Every single TP animation has been taken out and replaced with ALS, as well as some custom animations for our weapon system to work smoothly along side.
Sound
All Third Person and First Person gun sounds have been redone alongside with a complete overhaul of the sound system, with ambient noise and VoIP for player, proximity VoIP will be added in as apart of a weekly update after release of 0.1.
Map
Alongside the new update, the team has put together a new map (temporary) until the next major update of 0.2 in the upcoming maps were we will be releasing of first full release game, map.
Vehicles
Drivable cars have been added into CivilContract but due to some implications on physics related crashes we have decided to wait until one of the upcoming weekly updates to give us some extra time to fix these vehicles related crashes.
UI
With 0.1 comes the new main menu, and UI overhaul in-game and out of game, some examples of where you will find our new widgets are, NPC stores and the main menu.
Dedicated Servers
From the release of 0.1 CivilContract will be only run on Dedicated Servers.
The partnered hosting company "Nitrado" is the only place where users will be able to get a server from, but not to worry our friends over at Nitrado will take good care of you, with there more than fair prices and great customer support you will feel like a "GOD" with your server, having full control over everything. (The first few weeks of launch of 0.1 will be official servers only.)
General Development/Back End
Through out the development of the 0.1 update, the development team has taken drastic changes to the way the games being coded, moving to forms of C++ and blueprint to leave the team with more options and flexibility when it comes to further development. As well as a complete rework of the player controller, and weapon system/inventory system.

Visual Improvements
[PP] effect to glow when looking over items to, help the player know witch item they are concentrating on. Changed lighting main level using, TrueSky to help with making the world feel more alive, as well as adding new volumetric FOG alongside the TrueSky weather system, such as rain and thunder.
Changed from static built lighting to dynamic lighting, to allow the development to build larger levels and not have to worry about large .builtdata files, making it easier for level loading and server hosting.
Improved the overall look of inside building by using PP to darken the rooms.
Added some new lighting effects in the apartments to make it look like light is coming into the room.
Setup a illusion material for false interiors of buildings that are not enterable.
Known Issues
Weapon some times, doesn't holster correctly. (Can be fixed by unholstering and reholstering)- We are working on a hotfix for this.
VoIP is not 3d only 2d, a hotfix will be released for this as well.
Joining a server sometimes it will kick you if your ping is too high just simply restart the game and rejoin, the issue will be solved. (Will be adding prompts and warnings to tell the user why they were kicked).
Vehicles, some times break after a prolonged time with on server restart. (Hotfix will come soon, this is due to how the physics are handled within the game.)
Currently Working On for 2.0 and weekly updates in the meantime. (in no specific order)
New player character with an advanced customization menu (Sneak Peak).

The 0.1 release of the game, is not meant to be amazing this update is mainly a needed steppingstone for the developers to get the game to were we want it to be for the next major updates being. (0.2 & 0.3).

Thank you so much for your continued support over our Early Access. We’re already hard at work on Update 0.2 - working over a huge number of bug fixes, new features, new vehicles (and vehicle types) and many of the things we’ve listed above.
