Cat’s outta the bag ~ the third Cat Lady content update is here and ready for your enjoyment! It’s the Fantastical Feline Update, which means there are some new cats for you to wield as you unravel the mystery of Grandma’s haunted mansion.
In addition to all of the new content and fixes you’ll find in the game with this update, there’s also our final survey and GIVEAWAY! Yes: free things! This giveaway is a doozy: a hefty pack filled with swag from Cat Lady in addition to DVDs, books, and manga from VIZ Media. But, now for the meow-ment you’ve all been waiting for: update notes!
💾 To make room for all the new kitties, rewards, power-ups, and challenges, we had to clear save data. Just to be sure everything’s ship-shape, please clear save data manually when you start the game (found in Options on the title screen). If you happen to encounter any bugs, please let us know either via our Discord, in the Steam Community forums, or by emailing us at hello@rosecitygames.com, and we’ll help as soon as we can.
😻6 new cats! Both primary and secondary cats have been added ~ we’ve got Pebbles, Orbit, Stuffumz, Octavia, Mr. Mews, and Orbit. My personal fave? Pebbles, the lil planter kitty. But you should try them all for yourself before you decide!
🗣 Language support for English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German. Play in your native tongue or practice with a new language!
📱 Challenge menu added. Keep track of all the things in your handy dandy phone!
🥇Challenge rewards added and updated. What’s better than achieving a goal? Getting a reward for achieving a goal! Certain challenges will unlock new power-ups and cats in the shop.
🎶Updated SFX! We’ve balanced some volume, cleaned up some beeps, boops, and mews… (Also, if you haven’t caught our devlog featuring Matt, our sound designer, be sure to watch it here).
❄ Cleaned up the holiday decor! It’s almost February, so we gotta get that stuff outta here!
🖼 Updated cat portraits in the hub shop. They’re feline especially fancy.
🐛 Minor bug fixes! We’ve caught a few little things like bouncing teddy heads, duplicate item notifications in the shop, minor spelling errors, and Scrappy pushing pipes around.
