If you've been hungry for new 3D assets, check out our first artist pack - "Cooking" by Courtney Millman:
To celebrate, we are starting our first weekly challenge!
BUILD A COOKING GAME
We challenge you to build a cooking-themed game and share it with the community! This challenge is on the table for one full week, so even if you can't start right away, there should be plenty of time to ketchup.
Given this our first challenge, we’re going to keep it pretty informal. More of a picnic than a fancy dinner, if you will. Just upload your creation to Steam Workshop and post it to this submission thread on the Steam message board. We can't wait to see what great games will turnip there!
The kitchen closes Thursday (June 27) at Midnight GMT, so submit your delicious game before then! We’ll play the games during the weekend and announce a winner Monday.
Ok, it's thyme to start! Bon appetit, and remember: do or donut, there is no try.
Challenge FAQ
Who’s judging and how?
We don’t know! Try the games out, rate them, and leave (constructive) comments. We’ll take your reviews and notes into account when choosing a winner.
What do I get if I win?
No prizes - just the pride of a job well done.
Where can I make suggestions about how to run these weekly challenges?
Post them to this suggestions thread on the forum - these challenges are for the community, so we want to know how you think they should work.
Where can I see more of Courtney’s art?
For more of Courtney’s work, follow her on Twitter or Artstation.
What's with all the food puns in this post?
They are cheesy, but hopefully you will lettuce get away with it. You never think about food puns? We do it on a dairy basis.
