Frontier Pilot Simulator update for 14 June 2019

Hello Pilots,
It happened the new HUGE update released. Now we officially a cockpit simulator. Thank you all for the support, ideas and help with development. You are the best community we can imagine.
So, descriptions of the update below. + New trailer which showcases the new features.

Cockpit

By the thousands of requests, we integrated AR and VR system into the pilot's helmet. Now you can switch to two modes of view:

  • First person view, where we combined computer data reconstruction from the external sensors of the ship with the interior of the cabin
  • In the second mode, remains an insignificant part of the cabin and the possibility of shifting in the direction of gaze for even greater visibility (middle mouse button).

New Trading mode system

Now the ship's systems automatically send a request to all available bases for the selected product and provide information about the distance and estimated prices. Also, we add a warning message if the cargo is heavy for a vertical take-off. Plus mouse support been added.

Hangar

There was a total modernization of all the hangars systems, animations, arm movements. We added more manipulators and automation system, which significantly reduced the time of upgrade and repair. In general, we improved effects, angles and ten's of bugs fixed.

Reworked game engine.

It touched almost every aspect of the game. Due to this update, we were able to ad the first-person view, correct hundreds of graphics errors, related the shadows and tremor of models. Furthermore, we get rid of the map size limitation, will be able to add long-distance flights and add new islands&continents. Naturally, along with improvements and corrections of old bugs, new ones might appear. We hope you will treat with understanding and send us the feedback. The more detailed feedback will be the faster we fix it.

Other

Fixed several bugs with the camera, landscape, effects, water, weather, and tasks.
Improved, corrected and optimized landscape and objects on it.
Improved sound system, taking into account the first-person view, diving under the water, weather, etc.
We Reworked part of the interfaces, screens, and screensavers.
We finally cleared the runway on Cargospaceway.

What we will focus on, next?

Parking cameras

We understand, that landing and maneuvering with a cockpit view are challenging, it is hard to understand the position of the ship relative to the landing site. That why, we will make several additional external cameras (top view, rear view camera, etc.) and display to the helmet interface.

Construction of the base in the canyon

We almost completed the new adventures and the construction of a base in the canyon. New cargos, tasks, upgrades and etc.

New map interface

Soon we will deal with serious processing of the map. We want to add to an interface for interacting with messages and selecting targets, as well as to refine the interface of the “economic part”, weather forecast, wind, etc.
