In addition to eliminating a few smaller bugs there are 3 new fishing waters in game:
- Lake Brienz (Lake in Switzerland)
- Maguare (a small pond in Colombia)
- Theiss Lake (Lake in Hungary, here just a part of it!)
In Norway - Faerder Lighthouse - the deep sea fishing was added.
It works just like in previous deep-sea fishing maps like Tanzania
and Fiji!
In addition, you can now catch the following new fish species:
- East/North Sea: Flounder, Halibut, Common Dab, Turbot, Pollock, Saithe, Common Ling and Porbeagle!
- Europe: Vimba Bream, White-Eye and Linear Carp.
For Europe a bug with the Crucian Carp and Bullhead was eliminated, wich prevented that these species could be caught. - Asia: Grass carp and Pacu
- North America: American Shad
- South America: Traira (Tigerfish), Skipjack Tuna, Dourado
If you want to perfect your fishing, you can choice fish bait for specific fish species.
In addition to new plastic fishes and -frog, blinkers and pilker there is now a selection of baits for floats and sinkers.
Worm, corn, maggots, boilies, dough, bread, various types of nut, cheese, cherry, strawberry, bacon, beetle, spider and bait fish for targeted fishing on specific fish species.
It is important to know that the choice of bait reduces the number of possible catches (!) and only to thetargeted fish will bite.
An example: Nuts are mainly used for Orfe and Chub. All other fishes will hardly or not bite at all!
So it will take much longer to catch something, but the desired species of fish will be on the hook.
The individual baits are described in game.
Another news is the setting of the field of view in game.
You can set it between 40-70°, standard is 50° (so far 60°).
This gives you a much better view on floats.
'F' changes the value (it's also discribed in the box with the shortcuts).
At the request of some players, the rate at which fish get off from the hook and strikes fail were increased.
So the game gets a little closer to reality. However, this rate is just been carefully adjusted!
And last but not least: The animations of the rods during the drill were smoothed, that means they don't 'flutter' anymore.
