LAUNCH
After around 3’000 hours of development, Gaia is finally in Early Access!!! If you’re undecided about buying the game, check out the new trailers and screenshots on the store page and make sure you read the store page itself.
Please also take a look at the package list to see what there is in store for Gaia in the future. In short, packages are like DLCs… but free! What’s more is that YOU get to decide the order in which packages are implemented, as well as have a say in how they are implemented. More info in that link.
The game is quite moddable in its current state. You can add any new type of item, edit existing items, add or edit buildings, textures, weather etc. You can also literally run your own custom code, whatever that may be, in Gaia. That means you could put quests, zombies or any other crazy ideas you may have!
This is a 100% indie game made by one person. There will be a few more thousand hours of development going into Gaia, so please leave any feedback you may have because it WILL be taken into account! Pinkie promise.

GAMEPLAY VIDEOS
Here are some people trying out the game on Youtube in no particular order:
Shay did a 2 hour gameplay livestream and uploaded her VOD. Funny vid and you can also watch her learn the hard way not to spend all your ammo as soon as you land:
Here we have the Wanderer doing a 1h gameplay vid with legacy clouds on and some very educational stuff (PS: if you're reading this Wanderer, you can build cabinets to store stuff but you need to decode Furniture first):
Jimmy did a 30 minute, no commentary first look video here:
As always, the dedicated Garies checked out some of the new updates in a 30 minute video. He's been here since the beginning and made many, many pre-alpha videos, so give him some love guys! Check out his channel if you want to see how the game has progressed over the course of this past year.
Kage did a pretty cool, 30 minute video. Check it out here:
One last thing. If you guys feel beautiful today and like the game, please help spread the word! The indie competition is real on Steam these days, with around 90 games released this week alone!
