Dear Caromble! friends,
In our last update we mentioned our efforts in finding a publisher or PR-partner that can help us launch the 1.0 version of Caromble!. We'd like to give on update on this, but first...
We added localization to Caromble! and have ingame language support for 10 extra languages! If you like your brick breaking in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese or Japanese you are now able to choose this in the options menu. En voor onze Nederlandse Caromble! vrienden hebben we ook onze eigen taal ondersteund, gewoon omdat het kan :)
We have done the translations with the help of Google Translate and AI, so please forgive us for any errors. If you would like your native language to be supported as well, please let us know. With enough requests, we will support more languages.
Also we did some engine optimizations with improved memory allocation, to support lower-end devices and improve loading times.
With our efforts in finding a publisher or PR-partner we have come to the conclusion that it is probably best for us to bootstrap it and do it ourselves. Unfortunately we lack the funds to work together with the professionals we clicked with and we've learned that partnering up is preferrably done before your Early Access launch. As we put quite some effort in this, we were disappointed with this result in the beginning, but thankfully we we were able to transform our disappointment into excitement and motivation to make the most of Caromble!'s 1.0 release.
In the coming weeks we will be working on finalizing the store page for full release, including a localized store page in the supported languages. We will finalize our marketing plan and have an awesome release trailer ready to show the world. If you have any (marketing) ideas that could help us or if you know streamers or journalists that are interested in playing Caromble!, please let us know!
