Hello! I'll be direct, these are the changes in the update.
New MENU
You may notice that some features are unavailable. They will be integrated over time. I wanted to rebuild the menu because the previous design not only wasn't fully functional with a controller, but also didn't provide a unique identity like Pixel Troopers.
This design is very simplified and functional with both keyboard and mouse. It also makes it more consistent with the art used to promote the game.
Note: Some features may revert to the old menu, if this is the case. Please notify me so I can fix it.
New Game Mode: Team Deathmatch
Although I forgot to mark it as active, Team Deathmatch is now available. You can create a game with this mode by going to Multiplayer > Create Game > and choosing the game mode you want, then going to Game Mode and changing it to Team Deathmatch.
Changes in quality of life
Added a button to invite friends in the Multiplayer Lobby. I heard it was quite awkward/confusing when inviting Steam friends to a multiplayer lobby.
So I simplified it by adding an invite friend button that will open the Steam interface.
You may have already noticed the new button there. It was for testing purposes; it will be removed later.
Loading Screens: Seamless Travel
Enable Seamless Travel in multiplayer games. To give a more immersive effect. Now, when starting a multiplayer game, the loading screens will transition to a clean game, instead of abruptly skipping, giving a more immersive effect. The Cancel Load buttons are still being implemented; sometimes they will work correctly. Other times, they may not do anything.
Melee: Major Modifications
I listened to the feedback on melee, it's surprisingly the favorite class xD. So I started working on it first. It already suffered a nerf.
The class started with 25% damage reduction, now I've lowered it to 10%.
The class's base speed and dash speed have been increased.
New attack animations
The Vampirisk perk now works correctly when attacking.
The Search Debility perk now works correctly.
The Impatient Critical perk now works correctly.
Fixed a bug that prevented melee attacks from dealing damage unless the player is in the Servant's field of view.
New Rage Ability: The Melee draws the attention of all insects on the map to attack it.
Flamethrower: Fixed
The flamethrower was a weapon that stopped working when the game was heavily optimized. I was finally able to fix its bugs and adapt it to the new system. Yes, I forgot to disable its hitbox display, and yes. That's its hitbox. XD
Perk: Human Cannon
While the perk's name still doesn't convince me, I finally added an effect so you can really feel what the perk does. Before, I didn't add anything, which gave a strange feeling when you hit the ground; most of the time, you forgot you had that perk. Now, with this effect, you can see what it does and get an idea of its range.
Color:
Although you could also change the color of your pixel trooper before, I find it has a more immersive effect now.
BETA
You may have noticed this Add Local Player button; it's currently in experimental mode. I'm not sure how well everything works, but it's useful if you need to get out of trouble. Feel free to report any bugs you find!
