Welcome to the Early Access release of DEADCAM!

IMPORTANT: If you've played the DEMO or an earlier version of the game, make sure to press the "CLEAR FILE DATA" button on the main menu to avoid possible bugs or issues regarding the save game data!

I created the tagline “ANALOG • SURVIVAL • HORROR” to reflect the game’s multi-faceted nature. DEADCAM is a collection of interactive horror stories, presented as “recordings” stored in “Files.” Each File offers a unique atmosphere, setting, and narrative. Some explore psychological horror, while others focus on survival horror.

This Early Access release features the first File: “ONRYŌ”, set in a Japanese high school during the 1990s. “ONRYŌ” emphasizes survival horror, but future Files will explore different subgenres—including deeper psychological horror. File:02 is already in development, and I have many more ideas in the works!

One small tip: These recordings might not end when you think they do. Sometimes you might want to load your last save file...

As a solo developer, I wouldn’t be here without the support of this community. I love engaging with players—please join the Discord server or post on the Steam forums. Let me know what you think. What do you love? What could be better? What scares you the most? Your feedback will help shape the future of DEADCAM.

My current focus is on bug fixes and new story development as well as fine-tuning “ONRYŌ”, there's still some more work to be done on it regarding narrative elements. I’m also planning to overhaul the inventory and main menu UIs. You can expect new gameplay mechanics, weapons, and more in future updates! Oh, and of course more, localizations are on the way!

A message to any Japanese players: I’ve worked hard to depict Japanese culture respectfully and will continue to do so. Growing up with manga, anime, and J-horror films, I have a deep appreciation for it. If you notice any inaccuracies, please let me know—I’ll do my best to correct them.

P.S. I am currently finishing up the remaining Japanese subtitles for the game.
My apologies!

Thank you again, and I hope you will have fun with DEADCAM.
