Hey All!

I have a few updates for you today as we continue to work towards the next big update which were still hoping to have live in two weeks time.

If you are noticing any performance issues, please add “-dx11” to your launch options.

Whats in todays update?

New item: Depth Finder. When the depth finder is in your inventory, a small ui popup will be displayed indicating how deep the water is where your bobber is. The ui will be visible once your bobber hits the water. Remember, deeper water equal bigger fish (amongst other factors aswell)

New sound effects for bait when it is hooked.

Major polish to the dog. He will now properly pickup and return fish to the altar. The dogs animations were slightly improved and he is now a better swimmer. Press “f” on the dog to set you as the owner and press “E” on the dog to switch the dog between lantern and fish mode.

Fixed the bug where the monster could get stuck when attempting to grab a player from the cabin (thanks duklock for reporting this)

Fixed bug where some monsters (not lake monster) could kill the player while the player was in bed

Progress on the next big update:

The new fishing system has been made and is now being migrated into our existing project. The new system involves entirely new mechanics and will perform much better than the existing system.

The new map “The Jungle” is almost complete. The landscape, bait spawning, monster spawning, and unique content are all complete and just needs to be polished and optimized now.

8 new bait types have been added. Since the new map will focus heavily on ocean fishing, many of the new bait types are much larger than you're used to. Get ready to fish using mammals as bait.

New fish are being made daily, there will be a total of atleast 8 new fish for the new map.

Two new creatures are already implemented
A new ocean capable fishing boat has also been added.

New items including TNT (blowing up your friends while they are fishing is optional).

The rest will just have to be a surprise
