Door Sounds & Slams
Adding to the sound strategies and aural experience in Intruder, doors will now make noise depending on how quickly or slowly they are opened.
Open fast and you can hear the latch and friction against the frame as the door opens.
Close fast and you can hear the door slamming shut.
These sounds project a decent distance and with different sounds depending on the door's material. If you keep your ears perked up, you'll be able to hear when someone is in a hurry. If you're trying to maintain your stealth, make sure to open the doors more slowly. Encouraging this kind of environmental awareness and stealthy decision making is one of the main goals for Intruder so we're looking forward to seeing how this impacts strategy in the game.
Automatic door sounds on Community Maps
Door sounds are currently applied automatically, depending on if your doors have materials with either "wood" or "metal" somewhere in their name. A future Intruder MM update will allow you to specify this further. We're also making a workshop tag if you would like to disable this automatic find feature.
Cliffside Garage updates
Cliffside garage lighting is now much more similar to the OG Cliffside garage with the majority of it blanketed in darkness but still with bright lighting near the entrances. The goal here is to make hiding and ambushing from the garage a more viable strategy against anyone that would carelessly rush inside.
The garage once again has its echoey reverb from the OG Cliffside as well.
