Another day another patch, except this one has been a couple weeks in the works. It's me iStead here again with the patch notes, get your cup of preferred beverage and let's dive in.
Game Changes
Mech Dash
Added a dash button to the Coat, so you can zoom and boom during combat. The dash has a cooldown and cost that is directly affected by the stats of your Coat armor pieces so build wisely.
Armor Stats
Added Stats to the armor pieces that will buff your abilities in combat. This should help you to defeat the enemies of The Stars with greater ease. We're still working on implementing a description of what each stat does, somewhere in the game itself, for now though here's a list:
Health: Adds additional Hitpoints
Armor: Adds additional Defense
Dexterity: Affects Reload Speed
Wrath: Increases Melee Damage
Sturdiness: Reduces Recoil and Spread on weapons
Observance: Adds additional damage to weakpoints
Charge: Affects how fast your Coat charges
Energy Consumption: Affects how much energy your Coat's dash consumes
Energy Capacity: Affects how much Dash Energy your Coat has
Energy Delay: Shortens the delay from a dash after your Coat begins recharging energy
We're still fine-tuning some of these but so we'll be paying attention to numbers and balancing them as needed.
Added Firing Range
Added in a brand new area on the Homeworld to test out different weapons on enemies. This can be accessed from the Missions tab right above The Anomaly.
Improved Wave Spawn Behavior
Adjusted the way waves spawn. They will now no longer wait for the last enemy to be killed before sending another wave at you. This adds a bit more frenzy to clearing rooms and should help the flow of combat. Also those enemies pile up fast now.
Buffed Health Drops,
Because the enemies juiced themselves, more juice has been added to health pickups. Make sure to eat your greens.
Visual Updates
Improved bullet trails
Reworked the system for bullet trail spawning, this changed the way bullet trails spawned. It's better now.
Doors and Floors
Updated the lights on the floors and doors, they'll now turn green when doors are unlocked and red when you're locked in. If you think you're still in combat just look down, the floor tells all.
Boss Healthbars
Prettified the Healthbars for our dear bosses, they look properly menacing now.
Coat Armor Changes
Updated the Coat armor to include new boosters for the Dash.
New Weapon Sounds
Added in new sounds for several weapons.
New SFX
Added in several new sound effects for various places, including UI, Pickups, and Hits.
Drop Colors,
Changed drop colors to reflect their rarities, no longer is everything yellow.
Additional
Bugs Vanquished
Slayed minor bugs that were hiding within the game files.
