Here's a breakdown of new things to look forward to with today's update:
PROGRAMMING
The entire online multiplayer endeavor took 6 months and multiple angles of attack to work well with offline gameplay as well. It's robust, fast, and provides a great foundation for future online modes. We will go live in a few weeks.
All scripts have been refined to run more efficiently per clock cycle, and the vehicle physics are noticeably more fun! The way they intersect with the ground has been improved as well.
The suspension and wheels hug and react to the ground better. Not to mention the A.I. Competitors are smarter drivers now. This is more behind the scenes, but more controls were added so that we can customize the 3rd person camera positions and how much vehicles yaw, pitch and roll mid-air now.
LEVELS
Cave Dweller lighting and reflection maps have been given another round of polish to keep the track exciting, telegraph upcoming turns, but still provide low light challenge and thrills.
VEHICLES
The War Hawk vehicle is part of the game roster now.
Patriot Oxide version 2 is now in the game.
VFX
Foliage system updated for better wind effects and less strain on the CPU.
AUDIO
Music tracks Leave You Far Behind (Reborn, 2025), Home to Seattle, All's Well in Roswell and Call of the Wild were updated.
All music tracks were mastered for use in gameplay such that most of the gameplay sound effects are still present in the mix.
