Update notes via Steam Community
v1.11! (6th July)
Basically "quality of life" changes, fixing some gameplay elements that were kind of annoying

  • No more language selection screen on every startup (which was redundant), now when you confirm your language, it automatically gets saved (to change it again, reset your data)
  • Audio restoration, updated all of the sound effects to be output as stereo (it sounds a bit better I think)
  • Jumper: made this minigame less "boring" - now you can hold down shift/right click (B) to speed up the barrels and make them go much faster - saves you time and increases the fast-paced action!
  • Recker: added a warning sign to indicate it even clearer that you shouldn't touch the construction workers or else game over
  • Laser Launch: in the asteroid-destroy segment, you now have lives, it is more challenging to survive until the 2 minute mark, and you get more points for destroying larger asteroids
  • Goofball Pinball: a subtle improvement with the physics of the ball
  • Whack-A-Gopher: fixed an instance in which the game would crash when matching smarty gophers in the extra bonus "bootleg Candy Crush" segment...
  • The Ball Pit Battle: updated the ballpit kid sprites (before it was inconsistent pixel-wise, they were 8-bit graphics in an 16-bit environment lol)
  • Performance improvement, added some delta timing to various in-game elements, specifically with the in-game timer
  • Fixed a bug where the game crashed when you very quickly switched back-and-forth between two filters

* Reminder: don't enter in the Konami Code while you're at Mr. Goofer's arcade or else you're not gonna like what happens next...

/ Sorry Linux users, but I've tried exporting to Ubuntu many times and for whatever reason (nerdy explanation here 🤓), GameMaker isn't connecting to the IP of my VBox virtual machine device. I already went through the official YoYo documentation, put the network as bridged adapter, gave the VM enough processers and RAM, and downloaded all of the Ubuntu commands required for it in terminal... but it's not wanting to work :/ I was so close to being able to compile it on Linux so I'm sorry. Hopefully eventually I can figure it out, because I want the game to eventually be playable on SteamDeck.

P.S. About a month or so ago, I cut the price of the game in half (from $12 to like $6), because honestly I'd rather give more people a chance to play the game and I already massively fucked up the ROI for the game anyway so you can enjoy it now for cheaper (for the few that actually did buy the game for $12 right when it came out, tysm for supporting me, I still very much appreciate that!) (Although money is a touchy subject, and I know there's still some ppl who probably think $6 is still too high... but that's literally the same amount as a cup of coffee or 1 crunchwrap supreme from taco bell ok give me a break) Also it's the Steam Summer Sale right now too so it's even cheaper, yipee!

P.S.P.S. If you're not already aware of "Stop Killing Games", and you live in the UK or EU, please sign the petition if you can! I'm not really sure why/if this is a controversial topic, but I do believe that if you purchase a game you should have the right to play it forever (I'm pretty sure indie devs are much more likely to hold this belief than AAA studios, lol). As long as Valve's servers are still up and running, Mr. Goofer's Mini Game Arcade Party will always be playable (majority of the game is essentially offline anyway, besides the leaderboards) but yeah.

thank you for listening to my ramblings, have a nice day! <3
