I've just quietly launched the playtest on Sunday. So far only about 3 people have access. I'll probably hand out some more keys when the first few islands feel a bit better.
This updated build now includes new starting area, new boss, and a set of objectives for that island. We can call it something like an alpha build. Most of the features are there but there are still a few things I'm working out.
Right now I'm focused on getting the next few islands to a playable state as well as reworking overworld orbmech travel/movement.
