Update: July 5, 2025
First of all thank you, truly, for playing Hellkind. This project was made quietly, in the late hours, with deep love for folklore, atmosphere, and storytelling. I never expected the kind of warmth and encouragement that’s come since release, and every message, kind word, screenshot, video, stream and any kind of support has meant more than I can say.
A small update has just been released with a handful of tweaks and fixes, aimed at improving the experience:
Volume adjustments: Several sounds in the game have been adjusted and more 3D sounds added.
Input handling: Player hammer control are now correctly paused when the character is invisible.
Refined wording: Several pieces of ingame text have been slightly adjusted to improve clarity and flow. These are super minor changes.
Fixed the empty prompt bug: A bug where the bottom prompt would sometimes open with an empty box has been fixed.
Steam Deck preparations: Made some adjustments to better support the Steam Deck in the future. This doesn’t change anything visible yet, but it lays the foundation for a smoother experience on the device in the near future. Especially the keyboard input part.
Seeing people explore this strange little world and connect with it in their own way has been a quiet dream come true. I’m incredibly grateful.
Thank you,
Emir Arkman / Motamot
