This patch fixes a couple crashes, fixes a rare loading issue, adds a bunch of new small locations (Jails, Craters, Galleries, etc), furnishes already existing houses much better, and fixes several other minor issues.

0.833 change list:

  • fixed an issue with loading a world, saving, and then resuming it again (ScrObot)

  • fixed loading active liquids, loose solid, and gases count (was saving as unsigned and loading as signed) (Faya AOP)

  • fixed an infinite loop when using test_stressMonsters for a while

  • fixed background in special rooms not keeping empty spaces

  • now dig entities stay around long enough for slow attacking monsters (like guardians)

  • now weapon range for monsters when digging is longer for larger monsters (so they can dig themselves out better)

  • now quest threat can go up when no town attacks is turned off (still no town type of attacks of course)

  • now if town attacks are turned off, a quest spawning another quest reduces its quest threat (normal a town attack is only thing that reduces it)

  • added Jail special rooms

  • added wood bridges

  • added another mystic arch

  • added BridgeBandits, BridgeGuardian, and BridgeMonsters special rooms

  • made guardians that guard specific things (chests, bridges, etc) smaller so they fit better

  • added DeepWell special room

  • added better Encampment special rooms

  • made farms look better (nice rows of plants)

  • now special rooms can spawn recruitable NPCs

  • now sanctuaries sometimes have NPCs in them

  • added Crater rooms

  • added bigger jails (up to 3 wide)

  • added tables and chairs to most houses

  • added paintings to houses (rare)

  • added banners to houses (rare)

  • added trophies to houses (rare)

  • added chests to houses (somewhat common)

  • made burial mound a little less safe

  • added Gallery special room

  • added 3 more vault variants

  • fixed blight gas not doing damage

  • now monsters only wander towards the town lifestone at night

  • increased Escort MinLevel from 5 to 10

  • decreased major quest monster MaxPotionsUse from 2 to 1

  • fixed Sonic Blast aiming getting stuck locked on enemies (Faya AOP)

  • fixed Arcane Blast not needing to hit for status effect to affect the target (glass zebra)

  • fixed first wall climb rune not inserting or extracting correctly (Faya AOP)

  • decreased IntensityDecreasePerSecond from 10.0 to 7.5 (combat music will last a little longer)

  • added chance of broken bridges

  • gave already placed trophies a little randomness to the placement angle

  • now offset paintings a bit so you can align them to blocks

  • fixed some painting alignment issues

  • changed bridges to be contained by clay instead of stone

  • now found Crystal Field messages mentions color

  • rescue npcs will no longer open doors

  • added desc to pickaxes and shovel pickaxes

  • house foundations now have a more random thickness so looks less blocky

  • now special room can specify a different special room for matching area block purposes (so different special rooms can share area blocks)

  • now special rooms with set pieces can be multiple area blocks wide/tall without needing specific connection name

  • now banner plays a sound when you use it

  • decreased Lava WaveFrequency from 15.0 to 10.0

  • turned pathfinding off in BehaviorAdventure::pickIntermediateGoal

  • fixed a gossip typo

  • fixed some more unsigned/signed issues in loading/saving: evidence, quests, unique players, player planet knowledge (probably have never caused an issue though)
