Season 3: Neon Uprising & Legacy Mode

LEGACY MODE RETURNS TO DECEIT 2

As we continue our development on Deceit 2, the original game’s infrastructure is getting older, and the game engine it uses has not been updated in 3 years. Rather than let it fade, we’re bringing its most iconic experience into the modern era - rebuilt, and now part of the future.

Returning as a public beta, Legacy Mode resurrects the original 6-player, action-first format from Deceit 1.

Each match runs across three floors, with day phases for item collection and blackout phases for carnage. Two players are Infected, hiding in plain sight. Four are Innocent, scrambling to escape. This is old-school Deceit - tense, fast, and punishing.

Key Features:

• 6-player matches (4 Innocents vs 2 Infected)

• Three-floor progression with fuse-based escape

• No Innocent roles, no mutations

• Terrors must earn blood and time their kills

• Failing to place fuses triggers an Enrage phase – Terrors execute without needing blood

• Classic shoot-to-vote system with strict thresholds per floor

• Survive and reach the Escape Door or prevent Innocents from escaping

• A Deceit 2 take on the Terrors that adapts them to the Deceit 1 gameplay

Legacy Mode rewards sharp instincts and fast thinking. Innocents must collaborate, gather light items, protect Antidote carriers, and track suspects. Infected players must stay coordinated, avoid getting caught drinking, and strike decisively.

This is a public beta and will have some quirks. We will continue to iterate and develop Legacy with feedback from the community, and look forward to taking the original game mode further with you.

LEGACY DLC 

To celebrate Legacy Mode’s return, we’re unleashing a premium DLC pack loaded with returning fan favourites. You do not need the DLC in order to play the Legacy Mode game, however, this collection of classic cosmetic skins is available now for $19.99 and includes six fully themed characters:

• Holiday Enforcer Chang – suited up and locked in, festive justice style

• Ace Queen Lisa – deadly elegance with a twisted royal flair

• Mimette Nina – masked and mischievous, a harlequin of horror

• Skeleton Hans – bones and bloodlust in perfect harmony

• Boots & Blush Rachel – tactical and terrifying, with combat boots and style

• Corpse Walker Alex – undead menace, shambling into the spotlight

All Legacy DLC cosmetics can be used in all Deceit 2 game modes. 

These cosmetics are available exclusively through the Legacy Mode DLC and won’t be added to any bundles or season tracks.

SEASON 3: NEON UPRISING – JULY 3 TO SEPTEMBER 3

This Season’s track is charged with neon energy and synthetic chaos. Players who engage with the full Season will unlock a curated set of exclusive cosmetics, currency boosts, and more. The Season will run for a full two months and contains both free and premium reward paths. 

The Season Pass is available now from the in-game store.
