Calling all pocketeers! We have a cool announcement for you!

We’re releasing the Pals Pack DLC publicly on Steam, and hosting an open public Beta of Online Versus for TWO WEEKS!  The Pals Pack is chockfull of other content like new challenges for you and your best buds to tackle, hats,  items, endless mode updates, a secret new playable character, and quality of life updates! The retail-ready version of the Pals Pack will launch on PC and console later this year.

Online VS Mode contains 3 type of match systems:

Standard Mode - Matches you up with a random player

• Survival - The last player standing wins

• Race - The first player to finish 3 stage(s) wins.

• Gem Haul - The first player to collect a certain x number of gems wins

• Marathon - The last player standing wins (Mode contains Beefto’s extra challenges)

• Random - A random game type is chosen for each game

• Chester’s choice - Let Chester decide the rules for each match!

Note: If you want to change the Game Type you will need to Request to use your new selected rule set and get approval from the other player.

You can customize your matches with different match types, special rules, even hats! Not sure what you want? Try Chester’s choice and let him choose your rule set at random!

Ranked Matches -  Compete to raise your rank! Players will be matched up with others in a similar rank.

Friends Matches - Host and Join a private friends lobby using codes, or Steam Invites!

Please note: Online VS Mode is still in active development. This public Beta of Online VS Mode is intended to give players a sneak peek of what is to come and help us fine-tune the experience ahead of the full release. Players are encouraged to share their feedback and report any bugs or glitches they encounter during the event.

If you already own Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon on Steam, this event is COMPLETELY FREE! Following the end of the Online VS Mode Beta, Online VS will be inaccessible until we have taken and responded to player feedback. All of the single player Pals Pack content will continue to be available to everyone on Steam in the meantime!
