oi m8 - quick word before
no, i'm not british
I think it's time for an estimate of how many bots were ever made with this app (sources used: github traffic for bmd.js) - Every two weeks, ~40 bots are uploaded onto a server. Every month, ~80 bots start running 24/7 thanks to this app.
The numbers I just mentioned do not reflect how many bots are actually being made, as some people opt to host the bots on their computers and some do not use bmd.js. The real number is probably closer to about 80-100 bots every two weeks -- quite a respectable number if you ask me!
So, I have to thank the people that stuck around for this ride, but it doesn't end here. This app has evolved a lot ever since it was "Studio Bot Maker" -- and it's thanks to everyone that put their trust into me for their little passion projects on Discord, for the bots that they're selling, for the bot running their server & so many more. I like to believe that although this app appeals to an extreme niche, the niche that's ever gotten its hands on it absolutely loves it. And obviously, we can't leave out the modding community - modders such as acedia, mondon and lik built up the mods repository -- the one used by tens, heck, probably hundreds of people every day that make this app more powerful than any other all things considered. This was (and still is) my passion project that I have been developing after dealing with DBM and other bot makers that were just not cutting it for me. It motivated me to make a proper bot maker that doesn't limit the user, one that gives them more power and lets them work as efficiently as they could. One that doesn't require memorizing a huge syntax, one that's consistent in its behavior, one that's made by people, for people - and most importantly, one that shapes development around anyone's and everyone's feedback.
oh yeah, almost forgot to mention: I'm working on a linux version -- also, I'm looking for new funky features to add, make sure to leave suggestions in the server or right here on steam
