Gamepad Support

You can now play the entire game using a gamepad — from menus to intense platforming.

If anything feels off or you'd like to suggest tweaks, let us know!

Save Slots + Steam Cloud

• Multiple save slots added. You no longer have to sacrifice collected relics to start a new run — try New Game challenges freely.

• Steam Cloud support is now live — your progress travels with you.

Lightning improvements

Lightning has been improved and fixed across all stages.

New settings

Two new toggles have been added under Additional Settings:

• Show Center Dot – Helps with aiming precise dashes or spatial orientation.

• Hide Wings – Some players found them distracting, so now you can disable them entirely.

Fixes and Tweaks

Here are the most noticeable improvements:

• Fixed player's leg clipping into the camera during dash.

• Heart stage layout updated: sections 2 and 3 have been swapped for better pacing. skip?

• Fixed finish line triggers on multiple stages.

• Fixed snakes' visuals and lightning.

Roadmap Sneak Peek

We're working hard to take Blessed Burden even further. Here's what’s on the horizon, in rough order of priority:

1. Fix slide spam abuse - the highest priority task that changes core game mechanics. There is currently a discussion in our Discord server about that: https://discord.gg/t5s68qpD5J

2. New localizations. Japanese and Chinese (Simplified) are the first to come.

3. Add new game modes/difficulties:

   • Casual (the current game mode)

   • Challenging (fewer checkpoints, 3 deaths lead to a restart of the stage)

   • Ghostrun (any death leads to a stage restart)

   • Helldive (any death resets a game and starts from the beginning)

4. Official Steam Deck support

5. Add an in-game ranking for completing the stage based on time. Like bronze, silver, gold medals, etc.

6. Ghost replays – race your own or others' past runs.

7. Add legit skips to some annoying stages, like Facility.

8. Add new secrets on the levels that are optional and do not affect upgrades. Some of them will be possible to find only with full upgrades.

9. Add some customization options. Currently, pants and shoes are being discussed. Would love to hear your ideas on that!
