Hello, Builders!
Since launch, we’ve been overwhelmed by your support, feedback, and bug reports - thank you for being so active and involved. It means the world to us.
We might be a small team, but we're listening closely and working hard to improve Chinese Frontiers with every patch. Today, we’re rolling out Update 1.02, which brings a wide range of bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, and balance tweaks across farming, gathering, crafting, and quest progression.
Let’s take a look at what’s new!
Polished and Patched
This update addresses some of the more disruptive bugs we’ve seen reported. From syncing issues in cutscenes to rice field snapping, cave resource issues, and visual glitches - many of these problems should now be behind us.
We’ve also made fixes to desert foliage, collision issues, and a few quest blockers that were holding back progress. If you ran into a bug while farming or noticed missing textures in monuments - those should be sorted now.
Farming Reworked
We heard you loud and clear - plant growth was too fast and rewards too random. With Patch 1.02, crop growth times have been rebalanced for a more natural pace, and drop rates have been increased across the board. You’ll also start finding seeds more often when gathering plants – helping you plan ahead.
Village Life Improvements
Your villagers are smarter now, too! They’ll gather more per tool and prioritize the most caloric food when eating. We’ve also made some changes to how fishing rods are used in storage and adjusted how resources stack.
Quest and Journal
Dozens of quests received updated objectives, fixed VO/texts, or adjusted NPC positions for better visibility. We’ve also added item reset options to several main quests in case important items were lost - helping prevent blockers in progression.
