Update notes via Steam Community

Greetings Adventurers!

This update brings major improvements to gameplay, dino behavior, and quality-of-life features. From new rideable beasts to a refined interface and expanded world-building opportunities, the island of Athos just got a whole lot more exciting. Here's what's new:

Gameplay & Feature Updates

  • Basic Controller Support Added
Initial controller support has been implemented! Further refinement and testing are underway—feedback is welcome.

  • New Tutorial Quest
Start your journey with a guided quest to teach you survival basics, from gathering to crafting and combat.

  • Dino Behavior Enhancements

    • Tamed dinos now slowly regenerate health after recovering from a coma.

    • Dead dinos can no longer move or be ridden.

    • Dying while mounted no longer locks your screen.

    • Dino settings are now saved properly during game saves.

    • Inventory slots adjust dynamically when adding a Transport Saddle.

    • Dinos now slow down when approaching you while following.

    • Tamed dinos will stay in place after your death instead of wandering off.

    • Dinos set to Guard mode will actively protect the player from nearby threats.

Tameable & Rideable Dinosaurs

  • T-Rex – Can now be tamed and ridden.

  • Spinosaurus – Fully tameable and rideable.

  • Sarcosuchus – Tame it, ride it, fear it.

  • Velociraptor – Now tamable with added saddle support.

Note: Carnivorous dinosaurs now require at least 50% health before the taming process can begin.

New Additions & Improvements

  • Dino Info Page
View detailed dietary info for each dino—know what they eat before you tame!

  • New Ruins Locations
Discover ancient ruins around the island, perfect for building your base with natural protection and ambiance.

  • Combat & Taming Improvements
Enhanced dinosaur combat responsiveness and more intuitive taming mechanics.

  • UI Overhaul
Enjoy a new and improved interface, bringing a cleaner and more immersive experience to Athos.

Known Issues

  • After taming a dinosaur, the first save/load may cause the saddle and inventory items to appear missing.
Workaround: Saving the game again after the first load will preserve all items and saddle correctly.

Thank you for playing Athos and continuing to help shape the game with your feedback! More updates are on the way.
