Hey all! So far, I'm still steaming away on the perk system. I have the entire back end set up and around halfway done with the front end. As of now, there are 6 perks, and a player can choose two for each run. Perks are randomly rewarded at the end of the game if the ending day is 7 or greater. The current version of the perk system is in alpha testing, and I am hoping to have it completed for release by late Saturday. As for my brother, he is still full steam ahead on the new fishing system and is making good progress.
What's in today's patch?
Alpha implementation of the perk system.
Dog polish: Dog will now exit water correctly and now works on the swamp map!
Changed cook time from 120->60 seconds.
Added fishing rod spawn locations around the map.
Fixed bug where some fish would be white squares on the end game leaderboard.
Fixed bug where players could not pick up a lantern or fish after the dog dropped it.
Fixed bug where, when the host turned off the radio, it would turn it on for clients.
Fixed bug where items could be dropped while the player was in their inventory.
Fixed bug where creatures could reach players at the back of the cabin.
Fixed bug where night ambience would continue to play on player respawn.
A few other random bugs and minor polish.
