Hey everyone!
We’re back with a brand new update for Save Mom, and this one adds a lot more personality, polish, and strategy.
Mom Is Now Visible!
Mom will now physically leave the caravan and walk to nearby points of interest, whether she's fixing her nails or taking a bathroom break in the middle of a desolate wasteland. This change brings her more to life and present as players move through the levels.
Overhauled Caravan Upgrade System
We’ve revamped the upgrade screen! Gone is the placeholder UI, now you’ll find clearer upgrade paths, better visuals, and a much more informative and intuitive way to invest in your caravan.
New Resource: Gold
Gold is now used to purchase upgrades. You’ll earn it after finishing levels, and leftover scrap is automatically converted into gold, making sentry refunds and resource spending far more strategic.
These systems will continue to evolve, but this is a major first step toward making caravan progression more meaningful.

New objective type: Timed objectives. Used when mom is crazy doing something and players need to protect her for a set amount of time
Character badge for vote indicators. Now is clearer to see what other players want for upgrades
New scrap thumbnail sprite
Now some objectives can be dismissed after completing them.

Flare visuals and VFX improvements
New atmospheric level music
Terrain-based footstep system
Faster game over animation
Game over screen now has more space for player cards
Level stop points now use the new mom interaction system

Flare collision issues fixed
Bullet decals missing from some buildings now appear
Explosion VFX now triggers correctly when destroying obstacles
Fixed misaligned effect areas for oil/radiation pools
Fixed side turret rate of fire
Fixed Bongo’s turret rotation sync
Decal layering fix in level 2
Fixed level blockers to prevent out-of-bounds exploits
Improved multiplayer object spawning reliability
Fixed dirt road decal showing over resources
Improved loading screen readability (dynamic text color!)
Fixed caravan movement stuttering, specially when player and the caravan moved at the same time
