Project Legion – Major Update (Version 1.011)
Hello, survivors!
Since we launched Project Legion, we’ve read every comment, review and post you left. Many criticisms were harsh but on point: there was a lot to polish. This Major Update is our direct response to your feedback — we rewrote entire systems, squashed bugs and added new content.
Everything you’ll see below — the «Anna» map, the flamethrower, the Souls system, reconnection… — was born from what you asked for or the issues you reported. We want you to feel that Early Access is worth it and that your voices matter.
If something’s still off, let us know!
Highlight Features
- New map «Anna» : a completely new setting starring one of Project Nightmares’ main antagonists.
- New weapon: Flamethrower — continuous fire damage at short range; ignites enemies and drains their health over time.
- New distraction item: Music box — attracts enemies in a radius, giving you time to escape or set an ambush.
- Souls system: collecting souls (by killing enemies, completing missions or finding rare items) now lets you buy characters and gear.
- Tiered levels & re-balanced XP — groundwork for future progression rewards.
- New character skins.
- New light-orb types so you no longer sacrifice your right hand just to see.
[] Dual-handing: mission item in the right hand + weapon in the left to defend yourself.
Gameplay & Balance
- Stamina drains less while running and when using Sixth Sense (Q).
- Healing syringes spawn randomly and restore health.
- Adjustable microphone volume and device selection; see an aura around a teammate who’s speaking.
AI & Enemies
- New co-op behaviour: if three enemies are grouped and you shoot one, the others become more aggressive for a while. We call these reactions and plan to expand them. In the video you can see how enemies notice their teammate fall.
- Henrietta and other bosses now sync capture/health/position correctly between host and client.
- Fixed Jacob being nearly invulnerable when detecting attacks.
- General pass: Jacob-map puppets, Henrietta fighters and other NPCs no longer get stuck in doors or mis-collide.
Multiplayer & Network
- Room lists and reconnection rewritten: phantom lobbies and re-join issues are gone.
- Photon regions: obsolete cache disabled; far regions filtered to avoid high ping.
- Fixed a case where the client stayed in “connecting” after canceling/creating rooms, locking the game.
- Cursor no longer disappears for the client after a win.
- HUD cleans up when the host changes.
Audio & VFX
- Global cinematic volume scales with music volume.
- Fixed multiple sound issues.
- Reduced camera shake when taking damage.
Controls & UX
- Increased mouse sensitivity.
- Console now opens with INS (no longer F1).
- Fixed “janky” diagonal movement: walking, running and crouching feel smooth.
- Improved mission messages — text always appears on completion.
- 2D voice chat in lobby so you hear yourself even if the host switches scenes.
Critical Fixes
- Rescue while the monster drags: AI no longer breaks.
- Multiplayer sessions start without “couldn’t start multiplayer”.
- Mission objects that vanished (urns, skull) restored and synced.
- Skull missions and others no longer duplicate or soft-lock.
- Removed unnecessary logs for better performance.
Next Steps
- Full gamepad support in progress.
- More uses for the level & XP system in future updates.
