Over the past few months, we've been working on new updates and free additional content for the game. We’ve selected the most relevant and frequently mentioned feedback from players, along with the best ideas from the community, to refine and improve Necrocat while planning new content possibilities such as new items, expanded story, and new game modes.
Our goal is to release regular updates to fix bugs, improve problematic aspects pointed out by the community, and continually enhance the gameplay experience. In this first major upcoming update, we’ve focused on fixing gameplay issues, balancing, and usability. For the updates coming in the next few months, we plan to add more items, characters, story content, and game modes.
Planned update date: 06/25/2025
What’s coming in this first update?
New enemy effect:
Ghost Attack – Previously, when an enemy was defeated by a physical attack, it could still deal damage to the player. Some players pointed out that this didn’t make sense. Taking that feedback into account, we decided to add a new enemy effect that replicates this behavior—but only for specific enemies. Normally now, enemies won’t get a final hit in once they’ve been defeated.
New soundtrack:
One of the most common complaints from players was the repetitive and low-quality soundtrack. We’ve decided to completely replace it in order to make the experience less monotonous.
Dynamic description panel:
Now, in the right corner of the HUD, there’s a panel that displays a description of any relevant in-game object when the player hovers the mouse over it. This was added to make it easier to understand the function of each game element.
Redesigned HUD:
To improve the visibility and clarity of on-screen elements—and to make room for future menu improvements—the game’s HUD has been reworked.
