First quick thing: There is a new FEEDBACK form, linked from the in-game escape menu. It focuses on Erenshor 'combat feel' and I'd love your input as I begin to address some common community feedback.
Combat in Erenshor is in a state of "not quite there yet" and we can all feel it a little bit. Your input here will be heard, and it will be helpful!
Second quick thing: Erenshor has hit an OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE overall rating on Steam. I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen. I maintain that we have one of the best gaming communities out there - the positive vibes around here and in the discord are really something else. Thank you all.
And now the patch:
Arcanists have a notably weak early game in Erenshor and are known amongst players to "really take off in their teens". To help smooth that curve, I've added some more early game damage to their kits.
The Changes:
New spell tool tips (on items and in spell book)
Added level 2 Arcanist spell - Ice Bolt
Increased Brax's touch base damage: 40 --> 50
Increased Jolt base damage: 90 --> 115
Increased Brax's Rage base damage: 150 --> 200
Paladin Taunts no longer 'break' crowd control, so you can pre-taunt before breaking a Dazzle to spare your Arcanist from being 1-shot at high levels.
SimPlayer Paladins will now pro-actively taunt Dazzled mobs to prevent the Arcanist from getting rolled over when Dazzle breaks.
Paladin taunt spells are now UNRESISTABLE to NPCs
Faction hits will now occur if the player has swung at (even if the player missed) an NPC prior to that NPC dying
HOTFIX: Added a method to view spell details on items for folks who prefer the manual "Right Click to see item info" option.
HOTFIX 2: Steamdeck and Gamepad functionality for viewing items restored
