Commandos: Origins - Update 1.3

Commandos!

We've just released Update 1.3 for PC (Steam/Epic/MS Store), which includes various fixes for reported mission-specific issues, gameplay issues and crashes. Other platforms will follow as soon as possible, please stay tuned.

1) Additions/Adjustments

  • When shooting the pistol in free fire mode (CTRL), the Commando will no longer move in between shots.

2) Crash Fixes

  • An issue that could result in a crash for the host during multiplayer has been fixed.

  • An issue that could lead to a crash for the joining player when the host uses the sapper to cut an electric fence has been fixed.

  • An issue where the game could crash for the joining player when the host sabotages the water supply in Operation Nightfall has been fixed.

3) Mission-Specific Fixes

  • Operation Daybreak (1) – Fixed an issue where a crack in the door allowed enemies to spot Commandos when they should not be able to.

  • Operation Falchion (2) – Fixed an issue where some enemies sometimes did not follow a Commando when he runs into a house.

  • Operation Nightfall (3) – Fixed an issue where the water tank was still displayed after triggering the environmental kill with it.

  • Operation Nightfall (3) – Fixed an issue where a crack in the door allowed enemies to spot Commandos when they should not be able to.

  • Operation Rapture (5) – Fixed an issue where some light sources did not impact enemy view cones correctly, which resulted in some puzzles being easier than intended.

  • Operation Blindfold (6) – Fixed an issue where the view cone was displayed to the player as being when it was not, leading to Commandos being detected unexpectedly.

  • Operation Trident (8) – Adjusted some view cones reaching areas they should not.

  • Operation Trident (8) – Fixed a rare issue where the mission was failed if the Commandos arrived at the exfiltration location in a vehicle and the enemy destroyed the vehicle during the ending cutscene.

  • Operation Trident (8) – Fixed an issue where a view cone got displayed as blocked when it was not, leading to Commandos being detected unexpectedly.

  • Operation Aries (9) – Adjusted the hitbox of the submarine when exfiltrating so that the Commandos were able to stand anywhere on it in order to fulfill the exfiltration condition instead of having to stand on a very specific part of the submarine.

  • Operation Aries (9) – Fixed a rare issue that can lead to the crew of the Campbeltown not, creating a blocker.

  • Operation Aries (9) – Fixed an issue where a crane environmental kill was not displaying the trigger area correctly.

  • Operation Aries (9) – Fixed an issue where a view cone getting displayed as blocked when it was not, leading to Commandos being detected unexpectedly.

  • Operation Reunite (11) – Fixed an issue where killing Officer Garven sometimes did not complete the objective.

  • Operation Reunite (11) – Fixed an issue where a door sometimes clipped into a statue when opened in a specific way.

  • Operation Wave Breaker (12) – Fixed an issue where a grenade loot was not accessible.

  • Operation Wave Breaker (12) – Fixed an issue with specific textures on a building sometimes not being displayed correctly when viewed from very far away.

  • Operation Wave Breaker (12) – Fixed an issue where two enemies were missing icons above their heads.

  • Operation Guardian (13) – Fixed a rare issue where Officer Felter’s view cone is shortened unintentionally.

  • Operation Guardian (13) – Fixed an issue where a view cone got displayed as blocked when it is not, leading to the Commando getting detected unexpectedly.

  • Operation Guardian (13) – Fixed an issue where a crack in the door allowed enemies to spot Commandos when they should not be able to.

  • Operation Reckoning (14) – Removed a puddle from underneath a carpet so that there are no more water noises when walking across it.

  • Operation Reckoning (14) – Streamlined the display of a roof that was not correctly getting culled every time.

  • Operation Reckoning (14) – Fixed an issue where a crack in the door allowed enemies to spot Commandos when they should not be able to.

 

4) Multiplayer Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the joining player sometimes was not being able to hear German enemies talking.

  • Fixed a rare issue where the joining player trying to drive vehicles lead to the driving Commando not correctly entering the vehicle.

  • (Splitscreen) Commandos selection wheel was displayed incorrectly when playing split-screen

 

5) UI/Settings Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where tank crosshairs sometimes showed the wrong colour.

  • Fixed an issue where the DLSS and FSR options were missing the “please restart the game” prompt.

  • Improved the Camera Modifier section of the controls with additional information to make clear that a combination of buttons is required.

  • Fixed an issue where the game asked if the player wants to discard changes when activating DLSS right after hitting Apply.

  • Fixed an issue where the dynamic loot icon above enemies were sometimes missing if the ‘Hide Icons’ option was set to off.

  • Fixed an issue where Command Mode lead to first aid icons getting duplicated with a specific combination of controls.

  • Fixed an issue where dead snipers sometimes still displayed loot icons when they had no more loot left.

  • Fixed an issue where the Scroll bar was sometimes missing in the collectibles overview.

  • Fixed an issue where saving/loading sometimes removed the stun timer of knocked out enemies.

  • Fixed an issue where hitting the close button in the tutorial windows sometimes did not close the window correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the fastest completion time was not displayed correctly in mission selection.

 

6) Other Fixes

  • Fixed an edge case which led to the Commando flying in the air when climbing on a zip line while targeting an enemy with a knife attack.

  • Fixed an issue where the spy would not always upgrade to the guard uniform when he was previously  wearing a soldier uniform.

  • Fixed an issue where the Commandos would sometimes not exit the Zodiac onto the pier as intended but jump into the sea instead.

  • Fixed an issue where the cartridge ability would sometimes not execute when planned via Command Mode.

  • Fixed an issue where a Commando would sometimes not be able to access the driver seat anymore when entering the driver seat was previously planned via Command Mode.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Pebble” ability sometimes broke (no more animation and UI stuck) after spamming abilities like the Harpoon Gun or throwing knives.

  • Fixed an issue where the Harpoon Gun ability counter sometimes still displayed 0 after picking the harpoon back up.

  • Fixed an edge case that led to enemies ragdolling when being killed with the Bear Trap.

  • Fixed an issue where pressing space after group selecting multiple Commandos including the marine while he was swimming, would only make the whole group go prone but not make them stand up again.

  • Fixed an issue where entering an objective trigger location right before saving and loading sometimes led to the trigger not going off.

  • Fixed an issue where areas of impact for environmental kills had a permanent outline.

  • Fixed an issue where enemies were sometimes not calling for an alarm when replacing dead stationary gun crewmen.

  • Fixed an edge case that could lead to some enemies not reacting to the Commandos anymore after loading a save game.

  • Fixed an issue where, whilst in patrols of two soldiers and an officer, one patrol soldier would sometimes get stuck in search mode when the other soldier was killed.

  • Fixed an issue where knocked out enemies sometimes stayed immobile after being revived.

  • Fixed an edge case where the enemy death animation is not played out correctly when saving/loading shortly before the enemy walks into a trap.

  • Fixed an issue where crewmen would sometimes not remount a stationary gun correctly after seeing a Commando.

  • Fixed an issue with stationary gun crewmen sometimes not detecting Commandos correctly if they were very close to the stationary gun.

  • Fixed an issue where stationary gun crewmen would sometimes react differently to the same lure.

  • Fixed an issue where stationary gun crewmen would sometimes not react to a Commando anymore if the Commando ran in and out of his view cone too often while also running up to the stationary gun.

  • Fixed an issue where a vehicle sometimes got blocked from being accessed by the Commandos after an enemy got killed while driving the vehicle.

  • Fixed an issue where enemies sometimes shot at hiding locations even if there wasn’t a Commando hiding there anymore.

  • Fixed an issue where enemies sometimes did not react immediately to a body if they were lured by the sound decoy.

  • Fixed an issue where saving/loading right after a global alarm finished sometimes led to a new global alarm getting triggered upon loading.

  • Fixed an occasional issue where the Achievement “If the world were a village” was not unlocking correctly.

 

7) Platform/Input Specific Fixes

  • (Xbox Retail) Fixed an issue where the Deluxe Edition DLC was not accessible in some cases when buying the retail edition of Commandos on Xbox.

 

8) Localization Fixes

  • Fixed various typos, text inconsistencies and some options missing a description.

  • Fixed an issue where some voice-overs were sometimes not playing correctly.
