Heyo it's me, Stead, doing the patch notes this time. Here's what we got for this update, as always feedback and criticism is appreciated. Lets get into it!
Gameplay Changes
-Switched over to demo mode
This locks some of the weapons and features that have been available recently but puts the ones we feel offer the best glimpse into how the full game of Starcoat will feel.
-Unlockable difficulties
Previously all difficulties were available from the start. You must now slay the floor 2 boss to unlock Hard and Large maps, and defeating the floor 2 boss on those options will unlock the final mission options.
-Enemy Tiers
Enemies will now become stronger as you progress deeper into The Anomaly, dropping rewards worthy of the increased danger.
-Coyote time
You now have some grace when falling off of objects to make your jump.
-Enemy behavior improvements
Multiple improvements to enemy behavior, they're angrier now and should be more relentless in chasing you down.
-Added Turret Weapon to Mech
This shoulder module will now drop a friendly turret to help you out and take some of the pain away from you. It lasts 30 seconds currently so you should be able to get multiples out at a time.
-Various Recipes
Updated recipes for all weapons in the Demo mode, as well as balancing changes for weapons that will require a bit more pain to get.
-New Enemy Drops
A host of new enemy drops have been added that will help you to forge new weapons and armor in your fight for The Stars.
-More Music
Added new music that will play in various stages, including a new loadout theme and the Main Theme makes its reappearance in the Title Screen.
-Discord Link
A new discord link in the game that you can click on to join our server! We post the patch notes here as well as discuss feedback and overall game feel.
-New SFX
Added new sound effects for landing on new floors, new hit sfx, and a wave over sfx.
-New Lore
Added lore to various armor and weapons that helps to explore the world of Starcoat.
-A new room
A new room for floor 1, it's very fancy and not much else to say about it.
Visual Updates
-Green
Changed the color of the station itself to be a green, this should help UI clarity within the player and also help enemies stand out from the former sea of grey.
-Minimap and COAT
Updated Minimap and COAT UI to be more in line with the rest of the player UI.
-New Loadout Menu Scene
No longer are you in a grey box with some railings, now enjoy the scenery and skies of Kohn, home of the Starcoats.
-Added skybox and windows to Anomaly
Anomaly also allows you to take a glimpse into what the world beyond looks like, with some fancy windows to boot!
-Menu UI Changes
Some additional tweaks to menu UI and save boxes
Miscellaneous
-Bugs squashed
More bugs got squashed and some tears in reality have been patched.
