Hi Deer Gamers!

Reindeer Story is 7 months old now, over half a year! Time flies and I'm glad to announce two nice milestones of over 150 copies sold (close to 170) and 10 positive reviews! Maybe not reached quite as fast as I've hoped but I'm glad to reach these milestones especially outside of the holiday season! Thank you for the support! ːsteamhappyː

Hopefully I can reach 200 copies by November and 250 or maybe even 300 by the end of the year :)

On the RPG front Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Deltarune's Chapter 3 & 4 came out since the release of Reindeer Story. I've been having fun playing and beating them!

But without further adieu, a new version of Reindeer Story has been released with a new feature, a Minimap!

New Functionality

Minimap

If you press Select (controller) or Backspace (Keyboard) in the overworld a minimap appears! You can toggle between a small minimap, a larger minimap and no minimap by pressing Select or Backspace! The small minimap will appear by default

It displays a fairly large area around Lux, which should help navigate the game locations. It will show the player as a green dot on the map. It shows treasure as a blue dot

It also shows Cherubs as a pink dot on the map. If a Cherub has already been rescued they'll display as a grey dot. So it's helpful for finding those last couple Cherubs in each of the games locations!

QoL

• Adjusted the positioning of action icons in the UI (e.g. for Jumping, interacting, etc.) so they do not get cut off in smaller/zoomed in screens.

• Adjusted the position of coins in some maps which were too close to walls to be collected.

• Adjusted the collisions in many of the games maps to account for the new minimaps.

• Reduced the difficulty of the Preliminary Gauntlet in Chapter 2 (Removed a few obstacles and added HP recovery pickups).

Bugfixes

• Fixed a bug which caused Jo and Patch to continue to appear in the ReToyner's base in Chapter 3 after completing the Toy Train.

• Fixed a bug which would cause Wendigo's snowmobile sprites not to appear if you return to Snowzone and ride a snowmobile during certain sections of the game while he's party leader.
