Ahoy!
Players have already logged two million hours in Caribbean Legend.
We’ll soon update the repositories for modders and translators.
Over the past week we’ve been busy fixing bugs and polishing rough edges. Here’s the highlight reel:
Fixed a crash when boarding straight from aiming mode.
Quest and DLC ships now behave more sensibly on the world map.
Empty dialogue windows in various localisations are no more.
You can now reliably switch ammo via the Quick Action menu on Steam Deck.
Escorting merchants no longer yields millions in cash.
The multifunctional-specialisation upgrade no longer grants excessive stat bonuses.
The smuggler bug in Amatica Bay has been squashed.
Numerous tweaks to the new DLC—mainly loot and achievements.
Fixed several instances of animation lock-ups.
Polished and corrected both new and legacy quests.
Clean-up in several locations: lighting, stuck spots, character fall-throughs.
Optimised, tidied and finished the Cazador, Memento, brig and barque.
Removed graphical artefacts from shrouds on ships at sea.
Fixed fortress sieges that bugged out when the player had overwhelming troop numbers.
Reworked how gun calibres are assigned to ships, both in quests and at sea.
Skill points now display correctly.
World-map optimisation—micro-stutters should be reduced.
Fixed bonuses on procedurally generated blades.
Various objects (planets, projectiles, aiming reticles, rain, ship lanterns, world-map clouds) now scale properly with screen resolution.
About 50 additional minor bug fixes, localisation tweaks and a light engine cleanup.
That’s it for now. The team is heading off on a well-earned vacation, while I sit down to plan the next big update—and judging by the early list, I may have overdone it. It’s shaping up to be larger than 1.4 and 1.5 put together. I am genuinely scared.
But hey, we do it all for you.
