Fire Arrow and Fire Aura

Set those pesky demons on fire with these two brand new fire weapons. Fire arrows will burn enemies from range, while the fire aura will incinerate any enemies that get too close. Though make sure to rekindle the fire aura at a bonfire, a dying fire isn't very effective in a fight!

Pro tip: stack enough burn stacks on an enemy to cause an explosive chain reaction!

Status Effects

Of course, we can't have burning weapons without actually seeing enemies burn. Along with the weapons, we are introducing status effects, where you will be able to visually see whether enemies are burning, stunned or frozen.

Gameplay balance and changes

Bosses

  • Boss chests now spawn 2 different upgrade options

  • Bosses can now teleport to another living player after target player dies

  • Boss attack telegraphs now cancel when the boss dies

  • Boss attack trigger range reduced from 20m -> 9.5m 📢

Lightning Strike

  • Radius increased from 0.75m → 1m

  • Starting amount increased from 1 → 2

  • Burn damage increased from 0 → 2~5

  • Burn duration increased from 0s → 2s

Meteor

  • Burn damage increased from 0 → 3~7

  • Burn duration increased from 0s → 2s

Grenade

  • Burn damage increased from 0 → 6~10

  • Burn duration increased from 0s → 3s

  • Radius upgrades available decreased from 3 → 2

  • Amount upgrades available increased from 1 → 2

Blizzard

  • Cold duration increased from 0s → 2s

  • Freeze chance increased from 0% → 5%

Rolling Boulder

  • Cooldown increased from 18s → 36s 📢

Shuriken Dart

  • Piercing increased from 0 → 2

Yumi Shot

  • Amount upgrade re-added

Shuriken Star

  • Amount upgrade re-added, changes attack pattern with each upgrade

Improvements

General

  • Improved description of weapons and upgrades 📢

  • Added CJK font support. You can now enter feedback in Chinese, Japanese or Korean!

Visual

  • Increased size of creep clusters

  • Made creep heart visible on the minimap

  • Creep visual improvements

Audio

  • Added warning gong before game starts

  • Added warning gong to indicate incoming boss

  • Added new sound effects for weapons

  • Added new boss themes

  • Terminate SFX and music when player dies

  • SFX pauses when the game enters a paused state

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed card choices sometimes showing up twice 📢

  • Fixed player sometimes not receiving the correct upgrade in card mode 📢

  • Fixed boss telegraphs sometimes being occluded by certain structures/terrain

  • Fixed cloth ribbon getting stretched across the screen when the player dies

  • Fixed bosses sometimes spawning multiple sets of chest options when killed

  • Fixed tunnel swarm continuing to spawn enemies after tunnel is dead

  • Fixed waiting for other player prompt showing after choosing a card in single player

  • Fixed softlock when trying to quit the game in multiplayer when cards are on screen

  • Fixed lightning strike AOE radius not matching damage area size
