Attention all Pilots!

It's been a while, but we are finally ready to release our long-overdue finale. This game not only brings a plethora of new content but also offers an optional conclusion, breaking up the usual infinite loop gameplay if you're not interested in just score-chasing. Without further or do, here are some of the things you can sink your teeth into the next time you play the game:

The brink of collapse

  • The biggest addition in this update is the introduction of a recurring stage 5: The Starry Sea!

  • Here, you will do battles with ancient beings, malignant scientists and giant mechs before finally uncovering the secret of the loop you've been trapped in this past year.

  • It is here you will also find a natural conclusion should you wish to break the cycle.

Friend or Foe?

  • In beating the game, you will be able to take control of the Event Horizon - a new ship with temporal shifting abilities...

Heart of the Cards

  • Due to a rising number of upgrades, we have decided to include a new feature that allows you to favourite some cards in your library tab. Cards that are favoured will have an increased chance to appear during your runs, which allows for more control as things get more chaotic. We hope this feature will allow for some really crazy and fun builds!

One for the road

  • We have included another new ancient technology, ''Purple Chaos'' from The Digiscape, that will allow special upgraded upgrade cards to appear in your runs if you're feeling especially destructive.

  • Another new ancient technology, ''A knight at the opera'' also increases the number of upgrades each level from 3 to 4.

  • With this update, to avoid overloading things, only one upgrade has been added, called Void Shot, which creates a black hole to pull in enemies on ability use.

Minor changes

  • Many, Many Bugfixes

  • A few card text changes

  • Leaderboard improvements

  • Controller UI navigation improvements

  • Mounted Weapons added last update are now more efficient and consistent

  • Cards that change the same stat will now synergise better with each other

  • Decreased the length of stages to account for longer loops

  • Lowered enemy spawns on stages that could easily overwhelm the player

  • Settings to adjust the background brightness for improved contrast on enemies

  • Added invincibility frames when the player picks up mounted weapons and on boss entrances

  • Added a short invincibility right after choosing a level-up upgrade

  • Achievement to unlock all achievements added

With that, we have reached the conclusion of Interstellar Plunderer. We are going to continue to make minor updates, bug fixes and the occasional ship skin. With that said, if you encounter any bugs, please create a community post, and we will get on it.

Final Notes from Cozy Frog Games

It has been a good 2 years for us, and we are very grateful to every single player, streamer and playtester who has played our very first commercial game. We have made a lot of mistakes, bad decisions as well as good ones, and in the end, we are very happy with what we have accomplished and appreciate all the positive and negative feedback to help us make this game the best it could be.

We are moving on to new and interesting projects that we hope you will all enjoy in the future, and that will also help us grow as developers. Maybe some day we will return to 'Interstellar Plunderer', but right now we think expanding our repertoire is the right direction to go in.

Godspeed Pilots,
